Great room, staff, everything we were looking for. Walking distance to Rockefeller Center and Central Park. Subway station very close.
Close to police station, very noisy at night. Also our room was street side so noise from garbage, delivery trucks at night. Not very close to a convenience store, a long way to carry groceries.

Very good location, easy to walk to restaurants and key places of interest. Hotel was very helpful and welcoming.
Furniture and carpet a bit worn, and small for suite pricing. Felt it was a nice place to stay but not necessarily a “good value.”

It was our second visit to the San Carlos hotel. It is a classic, old-school New York hotel that is kept in pristine condition. The large rooms are spotless, quiet, and comfortable. The mini-kitchenette was a big bonus! The hotel is in a very central location to the most popular spots to see in NYC. The staff was friendly and always willing to help. We will definitely come back to this hotel when we're in New York City again.

I booked a junior suite and I was on a high floor. I liked the layout of the room and i could just about work out how the use the tv. The staff were exceptionally nice in this place, really friendly all the time .
There is a LOT of noise from pipes and plumbing from adjacent rooms.

Perfect location for reaching most everything. Cute breakfast spot a short walk away. (Cognac Midtown) Every thing is really walkable. A very central location to most popular spots to see in NYC. Broadway close by. Great and attentive staff. Beds very comfy. Big room by NY standards. We tend to get two beds when traveling since we don’t sleep well and don’t wish to disturb partner if we’re too restless. Plenty of space!!
The back side of the building where we were was quiet and we rarely heard traffic/sirens. Rooms servicing was always attentive and restocked whatever was used: coffee; water. Large fridge below coffee station. Flatware, coffee cups, plates, wine opener in drawer below coffee.
An overall fantastic stay. Highly recommend and we plan to stay again on next visit
We enjoy evening cocktails. Bar/lounge closed at 10 which we found to be too early sometimes.
