Location
The staff is very accommodating and polite and helpful and the location is pretty hard to beat. Right downtown very close to many interesting sites and famous spots. Close to the subway and getting around was pretty easy from here, although we stayed in Manhattan. The room itself was nothing really special. It was pretty clean, but cost was fairly expensive, but the location warrants it. It was comfortable. I would have no problem returning for another stay.
View from hotel room left a bit to be desired. It was a view of the roof next door.

Room was big, clean and comfortable. Everything we needed apart from a view but we don't spend our time in NYC looking out of the hotel window.
Only problem was noisy people next door but you can't blame the hotel for that.

Large room with microwave and fridge. Quick responsive service. Fitness center.
Roof garden in pictures is only for penthouse! So if that is a reason you can booked (it was for us), don't! Minimal toiletries.

The location & availability were good. The room was clean & the fact that there were 1 1/2 baths was a bonus. We were able to check in upon our arrival at 9AM. This was huge!
The pullout bed was very uncomfortable.

The San Carlos was a great find! The location was ideal, the staff was welcoming and helpful, and the room itself was more spacious and comfortable than we had expected. There is a classic elegance to the property. It’s on a quiet area of 50th Street, but just a block from the Subway and an easy walk to great shopping and restaurants. Our room was clean and well-furnished. I would definitely stay there again.

Staff were friendly and helpful, we extended the stay and the staff gave us best corporate rate.
Early check in was permitted.
Beds were comfortable.
Located on 50th street which is quiet but convenient to any nearby restaurant and New York attraction.
I can’t say anything I don’t like.
