The staff was very friendly and helpful. They all seemed to love their job, and it showed in their attitude and sincere politeness. Location was great for walking to the Rock, Times Square, catching subway to Lower Manhattan. Free, 2 bottles of water per day in the room! Nice touch! Victor was great, always getting us a taxi quickly whenever we were tired of walking or using the subway. The Parking Garage they work with was just 3 blocks away and convenient. Thanks San Carlos Hotel for a lovely stay!!!

Room was bigger than expected and loved that the sofa bed was already prepared for the third person in the room.
The kitchen nook was very helpful since we had a person with dietary restrictions - was much easier to manage the meals.
Location is great, all was clean, and the elevator is incredibly fast!

Great location, very friendly, professional, helpful staff. The property was very clean. Rooms were a nice size. Very quaint, felt like a boutique hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
The only negative was the room facing the street was noisy. Our other room that was not street side was very quiet.

A wonderful hotel in an excellent location in Manhattan, yet on a quiet street. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was relatively spacious, clean, and comfortable. Highly recommended.

The staff were friendly and tried to help us as much as they could
It is outdated, noisy and so expensive. We booked it thinking that it is an old fashion apartment with kitchen and a bedroom. But there is no kitchen, just a simple coffee machine and a microwave. The furniture, beds, carpet and bathroom are outdated and so uncomfortable. But the worst is the noise, you hear everything from the streets so loud, we couldn’t sleep at all… and we paid so much for it… such a disappointment! we left early and asked for a refund.

This hotel is in a great midtown location. They offered to store our bags for a few days while we went out of town, which was one reason we chose them. The price was very reasonable compared to similar hotels (during the world cup). The room had everything we needed8 even though it was basic and slightly in need of updating.
The room we were allocated was on the second floor, looking directly onto a wall of another building and next to the conference rooms. There were frequently conference people spilling out of meeting rooms making it awkward to access our room. It was probably because we booked through a third party booking tool - I am sure there are better rooms. It also had barely any natural light. It was however clean and had what we needed.
