Good
The breakfast was simple and good. The bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly.
I travel a lot and it’s very rare to arrive at a hotel and have the receptionist say that they have a room ready, but we would need to pay $50 for an early check in. For me, that’s how you lose a client. The room will sit empty and I would be a much happier guest if I could leave my bags in the room. The room wasn’t spotless clean and the fridge was so noisy.

Pleasant
We had a generally good experience during our stay the hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location.
Our stay at the hotel would have been great if it weren’t for one front desk staff member named Heidy, who managed to turn an easy checkout into an unpleasant experience.
At check-in, two different staff members clearly told us we could pay in cash at checkout, and we confirmed that more than once. When we returned to check out, Heidy insisted that the hotel does not accept cash at all. Instead of trying to clarify or help, she chose to be rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. The worst part was that when I was speaking to her, she pretended not to hear me, ignoring what I said until I repeated myself multiple times. It was disrespectful and unnecessary.
It’s baffling that someone with that kind of attitude is the face of guest service. A simple, polite explanation would have been fine but instead, she acted as though she was doing us a favor just by acknowledging our presence. The rest of the staff were kind and professional, but Heidy’s behavior overshadowed everything else.

Wonderful
There was an issue with my order, as I needed to cancel my last night and the request felt between the cracks between booking.com service and the hotel but the hotel staff were gracious and cancelled the last night anyway.

Wonderful
There was a really neat coffee machine that made a decaf latte. The room was spacious and quiet. It was located fairly close to a self-park garage.
The mattress on the pull out sofa bed was the thinnest ever.

Good location, good price. Clean and comfy. Staff manage the problem on missing booking.
The elevator and ground front door lobby was confusing.

Wonderful
Naomi at front desk was amazing. I came in to book as another branch had sold out as I stood in reception. She took me through the process (I’m used to booking direct but I wanted to use Girl Math aka pay in three - Klarna ) I’m very thorough as I stay at a lot of hotels as a weekend treat to myself. All questions were answered without having to double check anything (I chose a room with shower as that had a preferred view) I was given clear instructions as to what and where was included breakfast times etc. Naomi is an asset to The Marriott. I also had the pleasure of speaking to Joneli later as I needed more tea supplies. After Naomi had left for the evening (she was leaving as I returned and greeted me by name even though she was off the clock). The elevator is fast in action. Less than a minute wait for it. I will be back. Possibly this evening! Bed, pillows and air con were perfect - I’ve had similar from a four star hotel. I didn’t use the facilities.
The cleanliness of room 1514. There was still toothpaste splashes on the sink from the previous person/s I wiped down the handles and the wipe was brown. Leading me to wipe down all the other high service areas. The curtains are too thick widthways for the window as you can see from photos. The comforter was in between sheets - probably to make house keeping easier. But it smelt a little musty. Kitchener was weirdly stocked. With a large lidded pot? No stove. And dishes were on the dishwasher. No cutlery which would have been useful. Fridge and freezer were clean. Too many lamps. Breakfast 6.30-9.30 - finishes too early for residents staying for leisure purposes imho.

The location was perfect. Anytime we needed anything, the front desk had it taken care of in minutes. Everything was excellent.
Aside from the price, which was to be expected, there wasn't anything we didn't like.
