The property was clean, well managed and beautiful.
I didn’t enjoy the policing of the breakfast lounge, or being followed to present my room key. As a Black person, being asked to show proof is belonging in a space, that was filled predominantly with white people, and being asked by a white individual, felt incredibly unwelcoming and uncomfortable.
Plus the breakfast food sucked. It was cold and soggy and the staff was putting the breakfast away as I was trying to make my plate. Multiple days this happened and for this reason I do not feel comfortable coming back.
Further we ended up just taking yogurt and fruit back to our room to eat later because the breakfast was so unreliable and honestly, inedible.

The location was the best feature of the hotel, and we also appreciated having well-appointed kitchenettes in the rooms. The housekeeping staff was efficient and did a very good job. The breakfast buffet was good, though not exceptional, with more emphasis on variety and quantity than on overall quality. The gym was also better outfitted than most hotels.
The lobby area is a madhouse at times, with far too many people waiting around with inadequate seating and luggage clogging the space. They really need to redesign that area and the process of checking in/checking out. I know NYC rooms are small, but these were particularly small with tiny closets. This made it hard to navigate for my elderly aunts, both of whom have walkers, so if you have two people in a room, request in advance the largest layout and/or a handicap accessible room. Our rooms were near the elevator shafts, so the sound of the elevators going up and down--particularly at night and early morning hours--was disturbing.

Fitness center was amazing, we had a room almost at the top of the hotel and the view was rewarding. Very convenient location - breakfast was also very satisfactory.

Everything! Especially, being on a high floor. We were on the 64th, and savored the view. Didn’t need to be in a corner room, as this was angled towards Hudson and Times Square. The room was bright & clean. The kitchen had a toaster and hot water pot plus stove top on request. The elevators all worked quickly. The breakfast room on the fourth floor was spacious and bright with lots of selections. There was a leak in our AC in the night and the maintenance guy came immediately. Our floor’s housekeeper was friendly and worked around our schedule and rapidly got us what we needed.
It was all good!

Elevator was too loud. Could hear it at all
hours therefore couldn’t sleep. Tried to move rooms but that wasn’t an option. Microwave didn’t work. Bathroom wasn’t that clean with half used toilet paper. Luckily, I brought Clorox wipes!!

THE NOISE OF ELEVATORS!!! I could feel all the time like on the TRAIN stations! And its all the time - not only during the day, during the nights too that is frustrating!!!
The question is - how its possible that the hotel has been built without proper soundproofing of elevators?!

The property is in the heart of everything. You can walk down the street to take the subway, walk 5 minutes to a broadway show or take a leisurely walk to Central Park. The view from our room was stunning. We could see Central Park and the beautiful architecture of the buildings surrounding us. We loved looking out at sunrise to see the beautiful clouds traveling across the NY skyline. The property is quiet. We could rest quietly in our room at the end of a hectic day of sightseeing. The breakfast area was beautiful, contemporary with an unexpected view to the city. It was welcoming and the food was good. The staff is courteous and always willing to help.
