My wife and I stayed at the Courtyard New York Manhattan from November 6th to 11th, 2025. The location is excellent — close to everything: just a few steps from the subway, delis, supermarkets, and pharmacies. The hotel looks new, and the rooms seem recently renovated, offering beautiful views.
At first, we had a room overlooking the Hudson River, but due to an issue with the TV, we were moved to another room with a stunning view of Central Park — even better!
Breakfast offers good options, and as someone with gluten intolerance (I’m celiac), I was pleased to find sealed gluten-free muffins, bread, and bagels available. However, I didn’t feel completely confident eating the other items, as the staff seemed unfamiliar with cross-contamination risks.
The front desk team is friendly and willing to help, but the overall service needs improvement. Housekeeping was slow and sometimes unresponsive, and towel changes or simple requests often took too long. The room cleanliness could also be better — I’m allergic and had some issues with dust buildup behind the bed and in the corners.
Despite these inconveniences, we had a great stay overall, and I would consider returning on a future trip. With some improvements in housekeeping and service speed, this hotel could easily deserve a 5-star review.

1) lifts were not working well ! 60 + floors and how does one manage !
2) no water in the faucets for 1 morning
3) no polite answers or apologies for serious issues
4) there was a fire alarm at 3 am . Instructions were unclear and not supportive

This is our second time staying here in 2025. This time I was traveling with my 13 year old daughter to celebrate her birthday. Axel at the front desk through in a few extra touches to make the trip extra special. The rooms are so comfortable, I actually wish we’d had more time in the room. It was very clean and the location really can’t be beat! Close to the subway, Central Park, Broadway shows and Time Square. We can’t wait to come back!
The elevators take a long time but we knew that so we left extra time when we needed to use them.

The only reason we gave a low rating is that Wednesday non of the elevators worked on our side of the hotel. There were many elevator issues for first 3 days we were there. Everything else about this hotel was excellent.

Location is terrific. We stayed on the top floor, the 64th, and the views were incredible. Every single staff person we interacted with was pleasant and eager to help.
The HVAC in our room was either too warm or too cold. We couldn’t get it just right.
