The staff, particularly their concierge Duke Perkins, went above and beyond when told we were celebrating a special occasion. The whole hotel felt very luxurious, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the shower products smelled amazing. Even in the heart of midtown it was quiet at night and felt very safe.

Rooms are great, location as well, the concierge is amazing, also the restaurant, but it’s been 10 days since I’m back and you still hasn’t reversed my safe deposit. GIVE ME MY SAFE DEPOSIT BACK.
They asked for a USD 150 safe deposit when I got there and I gave a debit card, so I had USD 150 blocked for my use. When I saw that, I asked for a reversion to do it in a credit card, so I understood that I had to tap the card again.
At the end, I had USD 300 blocked from the debit card and USD 150 from credit. USD 450 in total and they told me it will reverse after check out. At that time I talked to the manager since this is not switching cards it’s only blocking even more money.
It’s been 10 days that I’m back, they did the reversion on credit card and USD 300 SAFE DEPOSIT it’s still blocked on my debit card.

The tiny room was designed nicely, and we had a nice view from the 26th floor.
If you NEED access to Penn Station, or MSG it's great, otherwise, stay in a quieter, more upscale location for the same money. The rooms were tiny (all the same) and the bathrooms offered very little privacy (glass sliding door separates the bathroom from the tiny room). The elevator system was overly complicated, while not offering any security. You basically pre-select your floor before you get on the designated elevator but no card key is required to do so, therefore anyone off the street (which is pretty sketchy) can access any floor of the hotel. There was also hotel construction which interfered with a work call at 9am (we were not warned and had told them at check-in that a quiet room was important to us - no one mentioned the construction).

The location is nice, the rooms are big for new york hotels and the beds are comfy!
The staff told me there is a flat rate for the taxi to the airport. I specifically asked them, if i have to pay in cash or also with card. They told me, there is no difference and that i dont have to find an atm to withdraw money. Guess what - at the aurport they charged me an extra 10% because it was not cash!!! That is really bad, that the staff gives such misinformation!!
