Location, it was a good value for what it is. Its not a high star hotel, so I didn't expect that kind a of amenities. It was kind of quirky, thought lobby furnishing have seen there better days. My room was huge for NY standards. I could not bleive the amount of space in the room.

The location is great, just steps away from Times Square.
There were no towels in the bathroom (apparently, you have to request them at the front desk). The staircases were narrow, the elevators were old and slow, and the rooms were small.

Disgustingly dirty and worn lobby furniture. Creepy staff. The room itself - bathroom outlets didn’t work. Everything was dirty and dusty. They didn’t have real furniture. Metal bed dorm room style broken stuff. No fire extinguisher in room. Broken phone

Location, Location, Location! The locations is A+++++. The front door let's you out right AT the big famous red TKTS stairs at the top of Times Square. You will NOT find a hotel with a better location. Simply unbeatable.
The room condition was poor and no frills (no fridge, no kuerig, etc) But the location balanced this negative aspect of the stay.

location was great and the room sizes are very good too
the staff was exceptionally uncooperative; in my years of travel, I have found the chk in staff highly cooperative allowing early chk in but this hotel has a staff strictly by the book. Don't come to reception before 3 pm. This was v irritating. No drinking water, or kettle in the room - was a great put off.

the location, literally 20m from Times Square, making it an ideal base for exploring the city.
Room was tatty, chipped paintwork on skirting boards, bed was too small, I am 6ft 2" and my feet were over the edge of the bed. The mattress was bouncy and not particularly comfortable. Also the TV set was operating Spanish language, I asked staff at reception for help, but they gave me a load of useless information, I just didn't bother.
