New York City's only revolving rooftop restaurant towers 50 floors above Times Square at the non-smoking New York Marriott Marquis, where plush beds and a super-central glam location are pluses for Our guests. The 49-floor Marriott takes up an entire city block, and its 1,949 rooms feature signature beds, spacious marble bathrooms, free Wi-Fi and flat-panel TVs. Get a real adrenalin rush with a workout in the 4,000-square-foot fitness facility overlooking Times Square. Or zoom up the 37-floor atrium in glass elevators for jaw-dropping views. The hotel has five restaurants and several lounges, including a New American eatery and a Broadway-themed lounge overlooking Times Square. Enjoy spectacular city views from the 50th-floor revolving rooftop restaurant. Valet parking is available for an additional fee, and there's also a daily resort charge. NOTE: The hotel will be undergoing renovations to the 8th floor public spaces, including bars and restaurants, from June 20 through October 31, 2020. Alternate food and beverage venues will be available during this time. The Marriott is on Broadway, in the heart of glitzy Times Square. Dozens of Broadway theaters are just outside the hotel (and there's one inside, as well). Central Park is a 15-minute walk away. There is a major subway hub within a few blocks for access throughout the city. LaGuardia Airport is eight miles, John F. Kennedy International Airport is 18 miles and Newark Liberty International Airport is 15 miles from the hotel.

Excellent
The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
For the amount of money spent on the room the mattresses could have been of better quality. The ventilation in the bathroom was broken. We placed 3 calls to maintenance about the issue. Unfortunately no one came to view or investigate the request during our stay.

Good selection was excellent on breakfast buffet. The view from our room was great. The bed was comfortable just a firm for my liking but I’m just not-picking here.
As good as the breakfast buffet was l thought it was a little expensive. That’s my only complaint.

Disappointing
Only the location
1. Always hard to call to at your service number or others, except in room dinning; 2. No housekeeping to clean our room for 2 days and I have to collect towel, bath foam and soap from the concierge or bell service; 3. To fix toilet in our room we have to wait 1,5 hours for someone to fox it; and 4. On pick up service to the airport, I call several time asking about pick up service to the airport (since we have 6 big luggages plus 4 person) and the concierge/at our service tell me that just go down to taxi que in the morning and definitely they can call a big taxi that fit for you, however thats not the fact and in the end I’ve to order 2 taxi to go to the airport.

Very Good
A really good hotel that has a fantastic location. Bit disappointed we did not get to dine in the View, because fully booked. Hoped residents would take priority.

Wonderful
The property is in a great location. Walk right outside the doors and you’re right in the middle of a lot of attractions.
Checking in and out is pretty stressful because of the long lines. I understand that it’s because they’re so many people that stay here.

Pleasant
Good location but not on New Years Eve unless you are willing to pay top dollar for a Ball Drop View room. The hotel blocks off access to the Ball drop view for anyone unwilling to pay to attend a private party. Good breakfast buffet and nice waiter, Bob.
It’s never nice to feel ripped off and that is my memory of our stay at this hotel over New Years Eve. While the location is on Times Square and its prices are adjusted upwards to match, in practice you have less access to Times Square on NYE than at other times of the year. The lobby area looks impressive but the rooms are 3 star at best - cracked enamel in the bath, not particularly clean on check in with old tissues left by the windows, and a nasty popcorn effect on the walls. The bathroom products are cheap and not replenished. The coffee/tea products are stingy to say the least - in a room for 3 people you get one regular teabag and one decaffeinated bag and 2 creamers. No bar fridge. We arrived on 30 Dec to lengthy check in queues - it feels like being at an airport. Despite the late check in time of 4pm our room was not ready. The hotel could not tell us when they would be but gave us a $50 credit to spend on site which was appreciated but doesn’t go far in the overpriced restaurant. We paid $400 usd per adult and $250 usd per child to go to a drinks/buffet party in the View Restaurant on level 48 of the hotel from 8pm on NYE. We were shocked that despite paying, the view lounge was full at 8pm and we had to join a long line of increasingly annoyed wannabee revellers on level 3 of the hotel waiting for lift access to the lounge. We were told we would get access if the people already there left. The hotel had no answer for what we were supposed to do if those people chose not to leave. While it meant that the people in the queue became united in their solidarity at the shameful price gouging by the hotel, it was very annoying not knowing at what point we were /if we were going to be allowed to enjoy the evening we had paid for. People started demanding refunds to no avail. We were finally admitted to the function 1 hour and 25 minutes after we started queuing for it. The function itself was good. The lifts are a disaster in this hotel.
