Disappointing
The location of the hotel is really great. The location is really great. And again — the location is really great! Unfortunately, that’s about the only thing that’s great here.
Doesn’t really justify the price — way too expensive for what you get. The hotel restaurants don’t serve good food, yet the prices are extremely high. When you pay that much and still leave with a bitter taste because the food wasn’t good, it’s disappointing. And charging 10 USD for a bottle of water is just ridiculous.

They charge $150 per couple for a lounge room. Breakfast is served there and nothing is served during the day. In addition, they charged money for a room with a king bed when we booked one.

Loved that it was right in Times Square. Wonderful views and large room to accommodate the 4 adults . Restaurant are top notch, staff was fantastic!

The location is to die for , right smack dab in the middle of times square. The housekeeping team was fantastic and really made a focus on late clean ups for the room and was very accommodating, special thanks to Daisy ! The bell team was the star of the show , Antonio the Bell Captain was definitely was a gem of a person and even sent a small care package to the room to welcome us to New York , Cesar from the team was also a lifesaver as we had a thumping amount of luggage and honestly they are a large part of what made our stay so great at the Marriott Marquis, its a magical place and this team really took it to that level . The tour desks as well was very helpful , and gave very useful information on the various trips and such , they helped us to take full use of the destination tax included in the rate . The location , honestly is what makes this hotel so attractive, and I think with a better focus on customer service , from the front desk team , this hotel could be the best in NYC .
The front office is a mess, its a transactional approach where they are looking to be as efficient as possible without the hospitality which we should be used to at the Marriott Marquis . Its difficult to place it , but as we were staying there for 9 nights for one room and 6 nights for another , we would have appreciated decent views , it doesn't have to be Times Square, however for a hotel that has approximately 2,000 rooms, the one we got allocated initially was in the void in between the towers right on top of an area which made it impossible to see the area below. We had repeatedly on the platform asked for a room with a decent view , even if we could get a partial view of Times Square. I do acquiesce that Lily did change one of the rooms , but as the place was sold out was unable to switch the other. However Tiante who was not even dealing with us , initially was extremely rude, when I came down to ask whether we could have one or both rooms changed , her reaction was to immediately state that this is the view and we will have to "deal with it " , without even considering the fact that we were placed in a void in between two towers We then informed and inquired about the FIT Tours which was part of the charge and was one of the activities advertised when we initially booked on booking.com , and her response was that "it does not exist", I sensed a bit of disconnect between the central reservations team and the team at this front desk . We also informed that room service would take about half an hour to come to the room , which we were then informed at one point , that room service means we have to come and inform them at reception , not over the phone ?

I’ve stayed a couple of times and love it here. The location couldn’t be any better for us. It’s a huge hotel with very good facilities.
Not much really. It just gets busy with being so big.
