The location in Times Square is excellent and very convenient for getting around New York.
The hotel was extremely crowded and the rooms felt worn out. There was constant street noise throughout the night. Front desk staff were not helpful and asked me to check the invoice myself instead of assisting. Housekeeping was very basic-only making the bed and replacing towels, without proper floor cleaning. Bed sheets were not changed during my 5-night stay despite requesting it. Overall, the price does not match the quality.

It was very nice and very well situated
In the room there was a coffee machine the first day we had coffee and tea but they were not replaced is something that every hotel does even the less expensive ones and trust me the Marriot Marquis is not cheap at all is very expensive. At check out point I told the person at the concierge what happened and he only said I needed to call them, not very convenient since they should do it without the client having to call line every hotel specially in New York where right now is very very cold.

the lounge/restaurant on the top floor gave a great view of the city and it was nice to spend an evening there after arriving.
Help with arranging tours and transportation to/from LGA was helpful.
I booked two adjoining rooms; but they were not available when we checked in, even though I confirmed the room availability that morning. The woman at the front desk was very condescending. She explained that the rooms she gave us were better than those I booked, even though there were not enough beds for everyone. So our two rooms were on the same floor but not adjoining; not close. The pull out bed in the couch was not comfortable. Disappointing given the price. Some other staff members were helpful.

Location, location, location!! Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Plenty of elevators to handle the volume of guests. Felt safe and secure.

Location as next to Times Square
This hotel was completely ruined for me because of the front desk staff — especially Matthew (night shift). He was extremely rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. His behavior made me hate the entire hotel experience. One employee was enough to destroy the image of this place. Absolutely unacceptable and embarrassing for a hotel of this level. I will never return.
