Pleasant
In general I have expected from Hilton more luxurious room, some parts were broken, some of them missed at all. Unfortunately, overall impression is not what was expected, bearing in mind the cost of staying on the New Year.
Broken bath faucet, luck of toilet brush. Some small nuances broke overall impression.

Right in the center of Times Square, lovely staff
There’s a deposit to pay which I was not aware of $100 a night

Friendly staff. During check-in the receptionist noticed it was my actual birthday date and upgraded us as a birthday gift. Which was so kind.
There was miscommunication. They told us there was a $35 daily credit. We understood we can use all at once but it didn’t work that way. Only used daily otherwise you lose it.

Good
The property was beautiful, and the view is stunning. We had a river and city view.
We got stuck in the elevator for almost 3 hours and were promised to receive a refund for our last night and a complementary meal. We received our meal but have yet to receive the refund. I’m writing this review 2 weeks post trip. However, while being stuck, the hotel staff were extremely supportive and ensured that we were calm and safe.

Poor
Too expensive.
There was a huge cockroach in my room which I had to kill. I have pictures. Sleepless night worried. Management said they couldnt do anything. Id have to contact bookings and have them talk to them.

Disappointing
The lobby is beautiful and the market downstairs is a good amenity. The room was spacious.
The TV in the room is the worst I've seen. It didn't even work for all but one day. They need to replace that entire system as it is completely useless and ruins any nights we wanted to stay in. While the market downstairs is a good amenity, the prices are absolutely absurd. $6 for a soda that you're forcing me to pay for with the $35 mandatory daily credit.

Poor
There were some positives during my stay.
• The one-bedroom suite was acceptable and met expectations.
• The concierge and housekeeping teams were consistently professional, friendly, and delivered excellent customer service.
• The hotel eventually acknowledged an issue with my room allocation and provided a $100 credit after I raised it.
I understand that room requests cannot always be accommodated due to availability. However, I emailed two months in advance asking to be as close as possible to my mum’s room, which the hotel acknowledged. On arrival, I was placed in a different tower block on the top floor, the furthest possible distance from her room. This was particularly baffling given that one of the rooms booked was a top-end suite.
• The hotel charges a mandatory $35 per night hotel credit that must be spent on property and is non-refundable. This was not clearly disclosed online. I only discovered this by reading guest reviews, and reception does not explain it unless asked.
• A separate refundable deposit is also taken, yet this is not clearly explained. My brother assumed the hotel credit was the deposit. I emailed the hotel on 18 December regarding an incorrect charge and requested a statement of account. I waited nearly four weeks for a response before writing this review and have still received no reply.
• Reception staff appeared uninterested and unhelpful when dealing with questions, particularly around billing.
• The coffee shop, where you are required to spend the hotel credit, was chaotic and poorly managed.
Due to the lack of transparency, poor communication, and overall service issues, I would not stay here again.
