Very poor sound isolation. Very loud at night. Impractical room arrangements: no proper closet/storage space, strange bathroom sink, faucet, mirror that were small and uncomfortable to use.

The hotel itself is nice; what they don’t disclose though when you are checking in is that all the ‘free’ coffee and wine is not free at all and in fact an extra $35 charge per day that will be added to your bill without your consent or any warning whatsoever, with no option to withdraw. Very poor practice and should be illegal really.

Absolutely outstanding hotel!! This place is a hidden gem and was a joy to discover. It is close to two subway lines, has lots of restaurants, a coffee shop, and shopping within walking distance. The rooms are lovely, with comfortable beds and really cool lighting. Bonus: getting free coffee from the cafe in the lobby every morning! The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had an outstanding stay here!!
There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel. It was a great place to stay at and we look forward to staying there again the next time we travel to NY!

I liked the coffee bar at the bottom and drink bar on top floor. Nice amenities. Windows were good in rooms and kept out the noise.
We didn't like the lighting in the bathroom. It was hard for my wife to do makeup. This is the main suggestion for the property.

Really comfy bed and good size rooms clean with daily housekeeping
Plumber/ boiler issue meant there was a problem with the toilet and we had to miss one of our dinner reservations to check it was fixed

It felt like coming home again. This is such a great hotel at a perfect location. Nicely decorated rooms and a cosy lounge to hangout in. Breakfast in the restaurant downstairs was also great!

Wonderful
A really great option for midtown stays. Room is small but absolutely fine for New York, great shower and was cleaned well everyday. No real noise - a bit from the elevator but to be expected in a busy city.
The free coffee bar was always very busy but there is a fab cafe - Stumptown - a few doors down in the Ace that opens at 6.30am so a good option for early birds
