Wonderful
The room felt like I was at a resort. Not in the middle of New York City. We loved the platform bed. It was extremely comfortable. The room was so quiet, given the few rooms on each floor and the thick walls and cement ceiling.
The perfumed body wash, unfortunately, caused me to break out in hives. The designed of the shower needs to be fixed. The rain shower can be adjusted and every time the water traveled on the tiled lip and flooded the bathroom.

Good
Property was very pleasing in terms of interior design, coffee shop, and location.
The service for a four star hotel was decent at best. For an 800 a night, I expected a bit more from the front desk. For example, I had requested a water to be sent to the room and at first it was denied, then I had to call again and was sent up sparkling instead of flat. Small things go a long way.

Poor
One star for the only positive experience during my stay - with Alex at the front desk - he was extremely professional, warm, and genuinely helpful. Overall it's a beautiful hotel with stylish and great design taste.
Unfortunately, everything else failed and was a nightmare:
1. One day I returned late night to find my room door left ajar for the whole day. Nobody checked it, even though it did trigger the system alart.
2. When I raised this safety concern, the staff member on duty (possibly Coey) was cold, absent-minded and even a bit dismissive, telling us at 3 a.m. to "just check out if you were unhappy and find another hotel" instead of helping resolve the issue.
3. There seems to be no clear standard operating procedure for the hotel to handle non-daily routine operations. They didn’t even proactively offer to change the key card or room as a temporary solution. And it took a painfully long process to discuss about the compensation.
4. The Assistant General Manager, Lucas, was slightly better in terms of attitude, but very slow to respond. I had to constantly follow up, and more than a month later I still haven’t received the invoice for my stay. Even more shocking, Lucas said that “room doors being left ajar is a very common scenario” and that hotels “cannot and will not do anything to reduce its occurrence.”
5. The housekeeping team was unprofessional and careless. They didn't clean the floor, and we ran out of basic supplies for several days until I had to call and request a refill. (They also claimed it was the cleaner who had left our door open.)
The hotel would benefit more from investing in staff training than focusing solely on decorations. Unless serious changes are made, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Fair
Only one working elevator for a 17-floor hotel. Very hard to get housekeeping to clean the room or provide towels. For a hotel at this price, these are not good things.

Wonderful
We loved our stay! The hotel is beautiful, well-situated in Manhattan and I love that there aren’t carpets in the rooms. The bed was comfortable - not too soft or too firm. The staff were wonderful and the rooftop bar was lovely.
We loved everything!

Very Good
The location of this hotel was pretty perfect. We could walk around the block to get on the subway. It was super cute with a great aesthetic.
The rooms were really small for what we paid. And it was all in all very dark. Older people with vision problems may want to stay elsewhere.

Very friendly and helpful staff; good location
Having the bed on a platform, without place to put clothes and no closet was challenging.

Wonderful
I love everything aspect of it. From the minute I walked in I was greet by Alex at the front desk with a smile and very attentive while I shared we wanted to leave our luggage before checking in. Alex, proactively checked us in early and we started to have a great conversation regarding their facilities, restaurants, cafes and more. Kara and Naermah were the nicest one when we were checking out. Engaging in our next trip conversation and sharing great places to visit.

Wonderful
Great location in Midtown. Up to date facilities
Only issue was one elevator was out of order during our stay. That meant waits coming and going. Should not be a problem for future guests

Very friendly staff, very welcoming and accommodating when I arrived! The little touches such as welcome drinks, umbrellas for the rain and delicious coffee in the lobby made for a luxurious stay. The lobby was comfortable to work from and the bar had great late bites

Excellent location for concerts at Madison Square Garden. Easy to get to the theater district.
One of the two elevators was not working. Had a long wait to get an elevator during busy times of day.
