The room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. The gym is decent and functional.
The hotel does not deliver a true 5-star experience. The lobby is extremely small and feels more like a pass-through than a proper hotel lobby. Reception staff were not genuinely welcoming, and the lobby itself was cold and uninviting. There was no seating available at any point, and the business center was repeatedly closed when requested. The upstairs bar was occupied by a private event, and the interaction with the staff there was notably rude. Room lighting is very poor, limited to a few table lamps, making the space uncomfortable, especially in the evenings. Amenities were minimal and below expectations for this category. Sound and thermal insulation are also problematic: the windows let in significant street noise and cold air, affecting sleep and comfort.

Wonderful staff. Excellent location. We had one bedroom club suite and empire stateview. Was so worth it. Huge rooms and windows open. Club lounge was marvellous. We will return. Tgx so much.

Super friendly stuff, one of the best ones ever. The room was gorgeous.
However, breakfast at the restaurant downstairs is an absolute disaster. Creates cognitive dissonance between how spectacular the hotel is and how absolutely embarrassing the breakfast turns out to be.

We were wonderfully upgraded to a beautiful room which unfortunately faces onto 5th Avenue. We heard every horn, siren, street argument, and yelling all night. Very hard to sleep as a result. Windows need to be changed to double paneled sounfproof ones.
