Great location within a short walk of Penn Station, plus lots of nearby local transit stations and local dining options.
We were charged an additional $20 to store a folding and airline-bagged Brompton bike for two hours. We were told it was a “union issue.”

Breakfast was very good but slow service
The AC system in our room broke . We were at a wedding when we were notified that it could not be fixed and that we would be moved to another room. Late at night when we came back we asked for help to repack and move and were told that there was no one who could help. We were pretty unhappy and I think the attendant understood and someone showed up to help move our things from one room to the other . There was no apology or mention of the incident till I was asked on departure how it was and said the stay was just ok. After explaining why they credited $75 from my stay. A 5 star hotel should be able to offer a better response to these situations

Very close to the lady Gaga concert at MSG, not to far of a walk to Times Square and a lot of the stores
Was charged double before getting the property, spoke to a lady there about it and she wasn’t the nicest. When we checked in the manager was great helped through the whole issue. Was charged again while we were there and it was classified as a glitch in their system. Overall a great stay but don’t know if I would stay at kimpton again

Overall, the service was good, but not great, this is not a true 5 star hotel experience. More like 4 stars.

Room equipment: they dont even provide a damn toilette brush, so couples, beware, your romantic experience might be a little shitty.

The carpets were a real letdown, resembling a 'rug-ged' landscape that cried out for a deep clean . Bathroom towels – small, subpar, and sporting a musty aroma that left much to be desired.

This hotel was a slam dunk for me! ? Its location was the MVP, and being close to everything, including MSG,where we caught a Knicks game, was a major win. And valet parking, clean and cozy rooms, comfortable beds, and hot showers. ?

The room was more spacious than the other hotels. My room was cleaned and polished. It came with robs, no slippers. However, the bathroom marbled tiles were elegant. Although I prefer showers, the shower /tub was welcoming. The tub was deep and comfortable. The room was simple but modern. There was a yoga mat which if you enjoy yoga and the minibar was stacked with mini alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages along with a few treats. The bed was firm and comfortable, the pillows standard. It also had a beautiful work desk with the appropriate electronic outlets, however it was missing the executive chair to make it a perfect workspace. As far as staff, the housekeeping staff were the nicest. The front desk, not so much. Even the doormen seemed stressed and looked as if they would rather be home. The restaurant menu items were unfavorable, only satisfying to a few patrons with less diversity for meal selection. The Back Bar was a nice getaway for some private time with love ones or friends. The server and bar personnel were lacking hospitality and personality. With all that, it’s a great place to see NYC via walking.
The front desk and a luxurious experience for the price of the room.

I encountered a rude receptionist who told me the hotel was fully booked when I asked for an extended stay. However, I discovered available rooms online. We had to book a new room in a different hotel, which was not ideal.
