The management and staff are absolutely the worst. The reception manager is arrogant, rude, and disrespectful. I filed a complaint with higher management against the reception manager, whose name is Raf. You'll pay a lot of money for zero service.

Historical building with good renovations, so not felt old at all. rooms are quite big for nyc standards. overall amenities are high quality.
even though routine cleaning was good at first bathroom was not that clean.

Great hotell, old school with very kind personal and professional.
Excellent breakfast buffe.
Nice room for 4.
Just a few minutes from metro and Rockefeller Center.
It appeared that the breakfast was only for two (in a rum of 4) so we had to pay separately for our children.
The want a guarantee of 200 dollar per day, that was quite a generous amount.

The location is perfect, near everything but not too close for comfort.
The staff, especially the manager, was very kind and helpful.
Breakfast was superb.
The overall feeling was below my expectations from a 5-star hotel.
My room had a noisy HVAC so I had to change my room during the stay. Even the new room had a faulty shower, which was fixed on my request. I got no compensation (didn't request any) except for having the problems sorted.
Clean room, but not immaculate.
Very crowded overall: breakfast, dinner, elevators, check-in line. The restaurant size, as well as the front desk staff, seemed way undersized.

Location and decor. Very comfortable bed and pillows.
Housekeeping not up to standard, bins not emptied daily and coffee facilities not maintained. Landings not cleaned and rubbish not removed from corridors. Glasses from other guests left outside our room for days despite our request for them to be removed.

It’s old world charm
The front desk staff is terrible. Rude woman checked my adult daughter in questioning her credit card. Requested new room as original room was noisy. Front desk never responded.
