The hotel room was gorgeous, clean and lots of space.

Wonderful
I stayed at the Barclay in the 70’s and 80’s, the ambiance has changed but the service and rooms were as I remembered.
I think that the bar area could be upgraded.

Pleasant
Friendly staff.
I was charged with hotel amenities fees, which were about $48 per night, and I was not informed about these fees when I checked in. I was billed $124 when I checked out.

I love Angel, the doorman! He is so sweet and helpful.

Wonderful
The rooms were a nice size, water pressure was good in sink and shower, and the bed was comfortable.
The parking with the hotel was too expensive, and they charged more for a small SUV $130 + $8.75 tax. This was way too much!!!
Especially if you’re staying at the hotel.

Very Poor
Big mixups and no AC

Poor
For the The room and bed were tiny for two people, and the AC was ineffective. Service was poor—our room was never cleaned despite multiple requests, and staff tried to rush us out even though we had a late checkout

Good
The location was perfect.
We did not have good experience with the people at the front desk. The room seemed to be outdated, the carpet was dirty and there were some parts of the furniture at the bathroom that presents humidity.

Exceptional
Coffee was excellent. We ordered coffee every morning via room service.
The staff was extremely professional and friendly.
Angel, who works outside, was extremely helpful. He followed up with us and remembered where we told him we planned to visit. He is valuable to your hotel!
We also liked the bakery next door, Ole & Steen for breakfast items.

Very Good
everything was great in terms of amenities, room size, aesthetic, staff helping etc.
only thing that could be improved were 3 things:
- Wasn't in love with the view from the room
- water is typically free in hotels across the world, where as in the US that's not the case. Would've liked if this sort of cultural nuance could be communicated more openly and clearly to avoid extra expenditure.
- in New York (another cultural nuance) all hotels are mandated to apply an amenities charge on behalf of the city. Would've preferred if a direct charge like this wasn't hidden/nested while booking the accommodation

Good lobby and perfect location.
Dirty and too small. Smell in the carpet. Ventilation is no good.

Gym sucked and was small and crowded. This hotel used to have a big good gym, which is why I booked it. TV also was malfunctioning.
