Pleasant
Location
Light connections didn’t work. Bed too noisy. Extremely small space for the price. But clean and neat.

Wonderful
The cleanliness and WATER! Free water! That was so wonderful to have! The staff was unbelievably great too!
It was a little tucked inside making it hard to find cabs.

Wonderful
The room was spacious compared to other NYC hotels, it was clean, beds were comfortable, and it really answered every need. This was on the lower side of cost for Manhattan hotels (still very expensive) - but there was no "catch". They even re-stock free water/coffee/juice in the fridge during the stay - a very small gesture that makes a big difference.

Disappointing
Decent location and proximity to subway and Times Square with a good amount of walking.
Did not check us in at 3 pm, on time, although we were there waiting since 8 am. We were told we were first on check in priority list and yet at 3 pm others were getting issued room keys ahead of us. Had to ask for manager at about 315 pm. Was finally given a room at 320 pm.
Restaurant was not good. Tried lunch and dinner.
Maid accessed our room although we put sign on door requesting not to access. Felt like invasion of privacy.
Bed had no top sheet or blankets. Wondered if comforters are washed after every guest.

Wonderful
This was by far the biggest hotel room I have had in NYC. Great location. Comfortable beds.
Some of the gym equipment was a bit dated but to space was great with an amazing view of the city skyline.

Good
Warm welcome from the front desk upon arrival.
We enjoyed using the complimentary bikes, which was a nice touch.
The room was ok, nothing remarkable.
The hotel is somewhat overrated and expensive for what it offers — not comparable to the standards and value found in Europe.

This is a great value, all things being equal. Melia Innside is in my favorite neighborhood of NYC, but it's not as eye-poppingly expensive as some other hotels in the neighborhood. It can also be a challenge to find a room in NYC with two double beds, which is what I needed for this trip, so I was glad to find Melia for that. There's nothing fancy about Melia, but if all you need is a clean and safe place to stay, it's perfect.
There was a lot of street noise, every night, which was surprising because I was on the 9th floor.

Wonderful
Great midtown/Chelsea location with lots of subway stations on all sides. Easy to get both up and downtown.
Not much space for clothes so I ended living out of my suitcase. I fuess this is OK id you are staying only a couple of days or haven't got a lot of clothes. The "view" is very unispiring on the 10th floor.

THE FRONT DESK RECEPTIONISTS WERE ALWAYS READY TO HELP. THE LOCATION IS CLOSE TO MANY ATTRACTIONS SOME OF WHICHWERE WALKABLE.. THE RESTAURANT STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND THE 'AL FRESCO DINING WAS GREAT.FOR MORNING COFFEE AND BREAKFAST..
I FELT THE PHOTO DID NOT MATCH THE ROOM ... WE WERE PLACED IN A QUEEN ROOM BUT DID NOT LIKE IT. THE STAFF GAVE US A DIFFERENT ROOM WHICH WAS A KING AND IT WAS VERY NICE. (jUST KNOW THAT) THE QUEEN WAS SMALL .

Very Good
Room was comfortable and I appreciated the complimentary drinks in the room.
The service at the restaurant was horrible. We stopped for drinks and an app after a day out touring. After ordering we had to ask three different people for our drinks and food. And then after asking for our check we waited again a long time and had to ask multiple times! When we left we mentioned it to the manager on duty, he didn’t offer anything to make it right. Frustrating and we wasted a lot of time. Really left a bad taste about the hotel. Very disorganized and unprofessional.

Wonderful
Great central location, able to walk to all major sites. It had all the amenities one could need or want and a nice gym and restaurant on site. We loved that we got a free upgrade from our booked townhouse suite to one that included a huge balcony.
Soft mattress on bed, but likely just my personal preference for a firmer one.
