Construction lights and noise right outside my window from midnight until 5am made sleep impossible

The location is right in the middle of time sqaure and alot of things to do near by at all times of day and night.
Our room did not have working AC unit, there was a window unit put in place but it could not maintain the room as cold as I wanted it to be during the summer hit.

Location of this hotel was outstanding - 1/2 block from Port Authority and a couple of blocks from Times Square. Close to subways and theaters. Very walkable to most places. Room was exceptionally clean and staff very friendly/helpful. They offered a free coffee or wine/beer at the pub downstairs. Considering it was in the middle of everything, I never heard any outside noise.
Room was small, but it had everything I needed. Perfect for one (or two who don't mind squeezing by each other).

No frills but clean and a great value in a convenient part of the city.
Nothing really stuck out. The water in the shower took awhile to get warm but that's not uncommon in older high rises.

Location so walkable to Times Square and broadway. Garveys Irish Pub right there had good food, drink, and offered a discount to Hotel Shocard guests. They were able to hold my suitcase so I could explore before checking in.

If you need space, this place isn’t for you. The room was small, but it’s perfect for a shorter trip where you won’t be spending a lot of time in the room.

I loved everything about this hotel. The location was perfect, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back again.
Honestly, I have nothing negative to say. Everything was great.
