Very Good
The location was excellent. The front desk gentleman, Alonzo was very friendly and super helpful. He was kind checked us in very quickly. The rooms were very clean as was the entry way. The bartenders were also nice. I appreciated the complementary daily drink and the 10% off breakfast and 15% off lunch.
The room was so much smaller than I anticipated. I couldnt even get in the room because the bathroom door was left open so when I opened to door to get in it hit the bathroom door and blocked me from being able to open it all the way. My door also stuck. It made a VERY LOUD screeching sound when you opened it every time because of how stuck it was. My husband walked right into the bathroom door at 4 am and has a big egg on his forehead because there is no room to walk. I have had closets bigger than these rooms. It made being in the room very uncomfortable.

Check in great, staff really nice, and useful to be able to leave bags in the lobby when out and about before/after check in/out. Location is superb.
Rooms dark, shower was broken in our first room and clearly had a 'quick fix' earlier that didn't work out - pretty lazy in terms of maintenance.

Right in the heart of times square, close to the subway. Room was clean and we had 3 free drinks included in the stay (coffee/ beer/ wine). Hotel was quiet and they gave us the possibility to do early check in, as the room was ready in the morning
We didn't have a window in the room, it was facing a wall. Nor in the bathroom. The AC was very noisy and too close to the bed, facing the pillows. Times square may be too chaotic if you plan to stay for long.

The staff.
We did not have a city view window we had a window that starting at brick wall. The bed was really lumpy. The vent in the bathroom did not work so when you took a shower once you waited 25 minutes for the water to warm up, it would set off the fire alarm.

The location was excellent, the staff was friendly and gave me a clear run-down on the amenities, and the room was clean and comfortable. Also quiet; I heard someone close a door once. Garvey's served a wonderful omelette. I found Hotel Shocard to be exactly what I needed and a great value for the money.
Hot water seemed slow to arrive, but then I remembered I was on the sixth floor of a six-story hotel. The desk chair was a stool; I would have liked a seat with a back. Carpeting was worn but a non-concern. Water cups would have been nice.

Molded fridge. Phone didn't work. There wasn't a actual window. My mirror was broke & you gotta have both sink and shower running for the shower to stay hot. Smh.

Location , bed was comfortable and quiet.
The welcoming was not the best, the person in the front desk wasn’t the most friendly. I sent messages before my arrival never got any answer, check in time when booking says 3 pm the fri t desk told me I could only check in at 3pm last but not least carpet cleaning would be great! It felt humid and dirty.
