The room was very nice and clean and it had a wonderful balcony that we could sit outside and look at the city lights. We loved staying in Chinatown with the different cultures, food and market. We were also well positioned and with walking distance of so many things and the subway was easy accessible. It is also close enough to the Brooklyn bridge if you wanted to run or walk it. The staff was also very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend the Mulberry Hotel.

I had a very nice room on the 10th floor with a great view to the park. The location was very convenient for me. The room was clean and very quiet, with a nice (tall) bed. There is a tea pot in the room and tea bags at the reception area, and hot coffee in the morning, that was nice.
I was a bit cautious when I booked – normally hotels charge the first night in case of no-show - but Mulberry hotel warned they would charge the whole amount. But luckily there was no emergency and I didn’t have to cancel. Another unpleasant surprise was that the hotel didn’t want to charge my debit card - even though it had already successfully reserved the necessary amount on that card. That was strange. I ended up paying cash which was ok but charging the card would be more convenient. The staff members at the reception were polite but not particularly friendly. The lady who came to do cleaning in the morning I was checking out was super-nice. There are strict rules to check out at 11am, if you are late each hour would cost $25, and after 2pm there will be a charge of another night. If you lose the key it will be a $10 fine. Luckily it didn’t happen to me, and it’s good to know the rules in advance - but again, I was just happy that nothing went wrong, otherwise it could have been more unpleasant than necessary.

We were never told about the breakfast, so I can’t really answer that. The room was great. The toilet would run occasionally and we’d need to jingle the handle, but aside from that we had no complaints. The staff was friendly and a manager even me to our room to make sure ur A/C was working properly after noticing we’d had it running all day.
Well I’m a little curious about that breakfast now, but aside from that there wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.

The hotel is near some funeral homes so be careful if you don't want to see that on your holiday. This didn't affect our stay much.
