Perfect room amenities, perfect location to go to koreatown and the empire state building. 34 Herald st is right next door and makes going to the five boroughs extremely easy. Right next door is 3 fantastic restaurants and the the staff was very helpful in planning flight departures.
Only thing that seem dated was the gym room but to be honest the real gym is all the walking you do yo go to each new york bourough 50k steps in 3 days is enough of a workout for me. Other then that everything was perfect.

Perfect location. Room was very comfortable and thoughtfully designed. Having a mini fridge was great. We used the convenience room for seltzer and coffee every day. On site restaurant was very good and reasonably priced.
My only complaint: no casting to television, apps, or even premium movie channels. Just cable and commercials.

All was excellent. This is a fantastic location and the cleanest and most comfortable room I have ever stayed in. The staff was awesome, very helpful with the questions I asked. Ver attentive and they pay a great deal of attention to detail. I'll recomend this hotel to anyone I know going to New York.
There was actually nothing I could find that I didn't like.

Clean-most important, staff was friendly and helpful. Great location. Easy access to subway.
We had outside wall room with a lot of street noise and rooftop bar noise. Elevators were sub par. Confusing on how to use. Especially the rooftop bar access. Wait too long for elevator.

I've stayed at the Kixby before, and one of the reasons is its location -- an easy walk to Amtrak and subway lines. Perfect for midtown business or touring. The rooms are spacious by NYC norms, and very classy decor, including enough lighting for working at desk. The rooftop bar (when open in summer) is stunning. The amenities of free espresso and water drinks in the pantry is an added bonus. Located in the heart of K-town.
The bathroom shower was excellent with its rain shower fixture. Very nice added touch.
I'm a fitness person, and like to work out when traveling, the fitness room is small, and OK, but lacks some basic weight lifting machines that could make it more useful. There are only 5-50 lbs barbells and one bench to use, with three bikes/ treadmill. Luckily I was the only person in the room at the time of my workout. It could use some multiple functional weight machines for chest, shoulders and arms.
The other suggestion is maybe a small mini refrigerator in the room for storing some drinks and snacks (and left over dinners). There was plenty of room in the clothing closet to hide it there.
