Carlos the bag checker was super nice all the time. The cleaning staff were also very nice, only the front desk employees were meh.. minimal explanations, minimal help.
The room. The AC was crazy loud, and only had 2 modes, on or off, no fan speed setting. Also programming it to be off didn't work as it still turned it self on every hour on full blast, the only solution was to literally remove the control unit from the wall.
The room was also crazy poorly sound insulated, the constant fan noises from outside vents gave the sensation the windows were open, but they were not.
The breakfast is not on premises, so its not a buffet, its a deal with the next door café, but its a weird deal. You are given a voucher, but its not a voucher with a value per person, and you can choose only one breakfast item, even if some are priced 26 dollars, and another is 10. So you can choose one that costs 26, but not two that cost 10+16.. completely senseless. The quality of the breakfast was good, but these quirks and dances around what was the voucher covered and what it didn't lend to poor variety and disappointment.
The front desk people were short with words, not very helpful.

The hotel is right aside Time Square, and very quiet beside such short distance.
Unfortunately the check in process was very disappointing. Being at the reception for over 1h where I had to solve a problem which was between you/Booking and the hotel (not with myself who had already paid in advance the full amount requested by Booking). The hotel refused to get in touch with Booking directly and I had to find the Booking customer service number to reach and let the hotel talk with them. Insane doing this at 2am in the morning after 11h travelling. At the end, to let me give access to the room, I had to leave my credit card for a deposit I had already settle before my arrival. The issue was solved the day after.

I emailed the hotel to arrange birthday celebration decorations but nothing when we arrived
There was a cockroach in the bathroom and the hotel do not seem bothered by this.

Everything was perfect. Great location, well designed, clean hotel and rooms, nice breakfast next door. We had a lovely stay.
The airco was very loud in both rooms at night.
