Exceptional
Clean, spacious room. Couldn’t hear Times Square noise at ALL, which really surprised us.
Kettle in room and mini fridge would have been nice!

Very Good
Very close to Times Square and Broadway theaters. Adequate and clean rooms.
Dirty windows. Breakfast in a very cold (A/C) nearby restaurant, not the widest options for longer stays.

Poor
First of all, there was no refrigerator in the room, but that’s not even the main issue. The main problem was the construction work on the exterior of the building. We woke up to loud drilling noises. When I opened the window, I ended up making eye contact with a construction worker, which was extremely uncomfortable, like having a stranger right inside the room. Also, the windows must be incredibly thin. Every little sound from the street came through like it was inside the room, and I woke up multiple times during the night.

Pleasant
The room and its cleanliness met my expectations. The hotel's location is excellent, and the overall value for money was very good, especially considering the high demand during the week of my stay and the premium typically associated with staying near Times Square.
While the staff was generally courteous, I believe the hotel could benefit from greater attention to detail and follow-through. Several gym machines (including treadmills and the bike) were out of service, the in-room TV and streaming apps were outdated and not fully functional, some common areas were not consistently clean, and the Wi-Fi was unreliable.
More concerning was the lack of ownership in addressing guest concerns. Whenever I raised a question or issue with the front desk, I was often told that a manager's approval or involvement was required, but no one ever followed up. In my case, it took five consecutive days of emails, phone calls, and visits to the front desk just to modify my reservation by one night. I attribute this experience to both the hotel's front desk staff and Booking.com's lack of follow-through, despite my submission of two modification requests through Booking.com and the hotel approving them. The experience was unnecessarily frustrating and bureaucratic. Fortunately, a member of the hotel's reservations team eventually stepped in and resolved the issue professionally.

Disappointing
Staff were very nice. Location was excellent. Room was clean
It is not a 4 stars hotel as it’s advertised. The mattress and pillows were so cheap and very uncomfortable bed. Room was extremely small with no space. The AC was on the floor that makes loud noises. Cleaner used to leave trash bags on the side for us to place on the bins!

Good
Bed and linens were excelent, room decor was pleasant. Staff was very helpful and kind
The hotel is located in an old building whose guest rooms have been renovated. As a result, while the rooms themselves are fairly pleasant, the common areas feel dated and uninviting.
The elevators are clearly insufficient for the number of guests, so there are often long lines making it frustrating to get around the hotel.
Although the rooms have been updated, some of the building's age is still evident. The air conditioning system is extremely noisy, the old doors give the rooms a worn and neglected feel, and the shower has ridiculous poor water pressure.
Overall, the renovated rooms are comfortable enough, but the outdated infrastructure significantly detracts from the overall experience.
But what frustrates me most about American hotels is the so-called "resort fee." Whoever came up with both the concept and the name deserves little credit - it feels like an insult to guests' intelligence.
This fee is not a tax, it doesn't go to the staff, and it isn't optional. It's simply a way to increase the room rate without advertising the true price upfront. Hotels justify it by amenities that most guests would reasonably expect to be included anyway, such as Wi-Fi, access to the gym, bottled water, or luggage storage.
At this hotel, the resort fee is charged every single day, yet the only tangible benefit is one complimentary drink at the bar next door. I jokingly asked whether that meant one drink per day, since the fee is charged daily. Of course, the answer was no. In fact, I didn't even redeem the drink because I wasn't interested.
I find the entire concept of resort fees misleading, inelegant, and disrespectful to guests. If a hotel needs to charge more, it should simply advertise the real nightly rate honestly and transparently.

The location can’t be beat. Super comfy beds and very clean rooms. Air conditioning units were loud but did drown out any street noise, so we slept well regardless.
Air conditioning was weak. Temp was set at 68, but the room temperature stayed around 78.
