The location of the hotel is spectacular and so central. The staff were beyond friendly and so helpful especially Adrian and Carlos.
The heater in the room was quite loud but nothing too crazy.

We were so impressed by the helpful, friendly staff. The size of room was amazing for a New York hotel and was very clean and well maintained. The fragrant smell in the lobby area felt very expensive! The location is perfect for exploring the city! We loved our time at the Aura Hotel.
The bathroom was very chilly, we didnt hang around long in there after getting out of the shower!!

Disappointing and unexpected charges
I booked this hotel through Booking and paid the amount shown on the platform. However, upon arrival, I was unexpectedly charged almost $200 extra, which was stated as non-refundable.
These charges were justified by the staff as "hotel policies and fees, but none of this was clearly disclosed on Booking at the time of reservation. If I had known about these additional costs in advance, I would have seriously reconsidered staying here.
This situation was very frustrating and disappointing, especially because it involved a significant amount of money that I was not prepared to pay. Transparency is essential, and unfortunately, that was lacking in this experience.
I hope the hotel and Booking review this issue so future guests are not surprised by hidden or unclear tees.

Phenomenal location in Times Square are you kidding me if you want to see a play or Broadway musical or whatever that’s the perfect place to stay so convenient every turn oh my God we’re staying right next to that. Yeah we’re staying right next to that great hotel spot.
Give the elevator some love they seem like they’ve seen better days. I don’t know the elevators. I think you got a nice establishment. I mean I gave it 10 out of 10 anyway the shower curtain could use an updated shower curtain. I don’t know water all over the floor I mean, come on.

the location was pretty nice!
We arrived at a very nice room; however, we were moved to a smaller one because the heating system was not working. Despite being moved to a smaller room, we were not given any refund. Unfortunately, the heater in the smaller room did not work either, which made the experience disappointing.

We had to depart a day early due to looming blizzard. No discount was offered. I understand their policy, but under the circumstances some credit would have been appreciated. I'd still go back.
