Hotel Lucerne is an excellent hotel, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is very nice , the location is great, the price is reasonable for New York. It is our favorite hotel to stay in when we visit friends and family in New York a few times a year.

Excellent location to Central Park , subway and great restaurants in upper west side . Would recommend the Irish bar on same street “TheDublin house “ too . Lots of museums locally too .

Staff was wonderful - Really welcoming door men, great cleaning staff and everyone was very helpful. The rooms were large and the view is interesting, but the location is what truly sets this hotel apart. The Lucerne is less than a block to the subway, two blocks from the park, with easy access to museums, and lovely restaurants and shopping. I will definitely stay here again.
I wish the drinking cups in the room were glass and the coffee mugs were ceramic. That was the only negative in a very positive stay.

Really nice to have a discount on breakfast. And the Nice Matin restaurant right next door was a real plus. Staff was very kind and very accommodating. Perfect location. Very quiet room with beautiful view. Staff honored our request for a high floor corner room. Very comfortable bed!
When it got cold, the heater would come on in the middle of the night and was loud enough to wake us up. This was only occasional. Glass water glasses would be nice and maybe a better hair dryer.

The location is great. Near the subway, near the park, near great restaurants. The room was quite large for NYC standards with more than enough storage space.
The furnishings are outdated and stuffy. The walls are thin and you can hear conversations in the adjacent rooms.

Well located.
The “accessible” room, did not have a window to outside, it was dark, noisy, light coming into the room from the corridor given the door frame,and no hot water in the morning, only lukewarm flow. The photo of room in booking.com did not match the actual room, which was dark.

This hotel is in a great location - near subway and near central park, upper west side. air conditioning worked very well

Great location. The restaurant attached is excellent. The hotel is clean and the rooms were clean as well.
I don’t like the check-in. I asked for a check-in and I was told the room would not be ready till 4 PM. 4 PM check-in is ridiculous.
