Desk service was good. Pleasant and efficient. Room was nice.
The food situation was confusing. There was a restaurant of sorts, but I don't think it was really connected to the hotel. There was a complimentary snack area which was nice, but had only snack (aka junk) food. I guess it was explained on check in, but I was in the process of going back and forth to the hospital and probably didn't take it in. Overall, it worked for what I wanted.

Nice location, great gym (they give you a day pass to TMPL gym couple blocks over). Very nice restaurant on premises (Monkey Bar), nice lounge.
Soundproofing is bad and building is old. My room's window was looking at a bank of compressors on the roof of a nearby building that were loudly humming all night.
The AC/heat system is done via in-room units which are very loud.

I’ve traveled all over the world and this hotel is superb!! Check in was fast, staff were very welcoming and friendly. I was upgraded to a king room with outdoor terrace and it was perfect. The hotel is not super modern but instead a boutique hotel with history and character which is why I chose it. The bed was sooo comfy, the bathroom had all the amenities needed (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion) and plenty of towels. The 2nd floor library room was relaxed and lovely to spend time there. Breakfast was in the library and had coffee, pastries, fruit, yogurts, boiled eggs - simple but a great start to the day. The library had complimentary coffee, drinks and snacks all day/evening too which was great. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for value for money, a great location - literally 5 min walk and you’re on 5th Avenue, and spacious rooms.

No kettle in the room. Only way to have a tea/coffee was when the snack room was open: 07:30-22:00
Breakfast selection was limited. A more continental choice could be beneficial
