When we arrived at Hotel Edison, from the very first day, Zaid welcomed us in a perfectly and distinguished manner. From that point on, I expected the best from the Hotel Edison. Everything was excellent.

The location is ideal for theater goers. I've stayed at here several times and have always found the staff consistently welcoming and professional. The rooms are clean, but small. The grab and go breakfast is a great deal.
Rooms are small and the bathrooms could use a refresh. Bathroom amenities are not always full.

Location was fantastic for a Broadway focused weekend. Easy walk to all the theaters. Times Square always has something fun going on. Hells Kitchen is just a few blocks away with amazing restaurants and bars. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast options were plentiful and it was nice that "breakfast" was available until 3pm at one location (pizza for breakfast!). Rooms were older but clean and beds were very comfortable. We had an interior room on a low floor so no views, but it also meant it was quieter without street traffic noise. Rooms are close to each other so I was worried about loud doors slamming, but the hotel has good insulation and ambient noise was minimized. AC worked great on a very hot and humid weekend. Location truly can't be beat. Lobby is upbeat with live music on Tuesday and Friday. Singing servers in the lobby restaurant were so talented. Get the warm chocolate chip cookies with ice cream and enjoy the show!
Room was small but that's to be expected in Times Square. Room had two queen beds and one chair placed in a corner. No additional seating area or table. TV was large and hung opposite the beds. No refrigerator or coffee pot. Small closet held one suitcase, other suitcase had to go on the floor near a bed. Bathroom was clean and had good water pressure. Toilet was low to the floor. Bathroom could have used more ventilation as it got very steamy during a shower, but it was fine once the door was open and the AC could come in.

Breakfast at Friedman's was great, especially with the vouchers that reduced the cost quite a bit.
Close to Times Square, subway, Broadway shows and more.
Room was too dark, could use a floor lamp to supplement the lighting. Bathroom was tiny. The room and bed were comfortable.
A great deal of door slamming, especially from the housekeeping staff. Signs should be posted in the rooms about not disturbing you neighbors with door slamming.
