The location was good.
The lobby was loud and chaotic nearly all the time. The staff were largely unhelpful, and the elevator security guards were incredibly rude. The bathroom was very small, the shower had hair in it and the grout / tile didn’t look clean, and there were toe nail clippings prom a previous guest all over the carpet. The poorly insulated walls meant I could hear other guests using their bathrooms, snoring, and talking in their rooms.

The location is very convenient if you wanna be in the middle of all the Broadway and time square hecticness. If not either way all other attractions are very walkable from the hotel. It has its own restaurant bond 45, which is highly convenient.
First night my room literally did not have any AC. I made the hotel persona el aware and they said they were sending an engineer but this never happened. The next day I had to go to the front desk and once again complain about this and also the room I was given which very clearly differed what I had booked in both size and appearance. Jenny was very kind to offer to change me when someone checked out by the truth is I was only there for 2 nights and I refused the hassle. She did fix the ac problem for my second night. I stayed in the hotel back in 2018 and it had a much better feel. It doesn't seem like any remodellations or improvements have been done at all during all this time. The ACs are absolutely dated and loud.

The hotel took over $1100 from my bank account in two very odd amounts, even tho my booking was prepaid. I had to present my card details as a deposit for room charges on arrival They said it was an error and would be repaid with in 3-5 days. When I asked to speak to the Manager he was rude and dismissive and shooed me away. I was given no paper work to this effect just repeatedly told it was their error. I have now incurred bank charges because of it and as yet have had no refund and my bank advices they cannot see one pending, I now have to spend hours chasing this even though it was entirely the hotels error and I am $1100 out of pocket. Totally unacceptable. How often is this happening I wonder ?

Great location, cleaning staff fabulous.
Incredibly loud air conditioning unit that we needed to turn of to be able to sleep but then woke up to hop to sleep.
Also bathroom quite small.

VERY convenient location. Close to a lot, and close to plenty of subways to get to more. Beautiful space! The staff were all great!
The lighting in the room wasn't great. One central light over the door, then all the other lights were on one side of the room.

You get your complementary breakfast in a bag. Bathroom is very strange: no shower curtain or divider. When you shower, you splash water everywhere.

location, AC was great, nice shower
the front desk, registration, concierge and bellmen were so rude. It was shocking. The check in process was a complete cluster and different people gave us different answers to the same question. The hotel never responded to any inquiry via the Booking.com app. The lobby is loud, crowded and old. I would never stay here again.

I loved the retro ambiance was really cute and well done. The employees who helped up were friendly.
This has never happened to me before, but we got the keys to our room, I opened the door, and there was a young woman already occupying the room! Since our room as already taken, I think we ended up with the least preferred room of the type we booked as it was 10 pm and a busy event weekend in NYC which was disappointing. The walls are thin between connecting rooms. We heard our neighbors’s entire FaceTime conversation one morning. The rooms were small (100% expected in NYC) but I felt they lacked a lot of counter space or storage spaces that would’ve made our stay more comfortable. For example, wall hooks by the entrance for coats and purses, or hooks and towel racks in the bathroom for towels and toiletries.
