Excellent location for accessing lower manhattan including Brooklyn Bridge and 9/11 Memorial. Easy to get Subway uptown.
The only complaint would be the tea making facilities stopped too early - us Brits like a cuppa before bed.

Very spacious rooms. Excellent location with Chinese cuisine restaurants surrounding the hotel. Shopping for NYC gifts is cheaper here by 50% than Manhattan and Times Square. Staff were amazing
Late check in 4pm. They did however check us in at 2pm and we are thankful. Can't help but mention there is a strong smell of smoke in the corridors... we were level 9 so maybe that is a smoking level. Very strong odour but we couldn't smell it in our room

My friends and I booked a girls trip and stayed at Hotel 50 Bowery because it was close to our friends in NYC and seemed clean and reasonably priced in comparison to other hotels in the area. We were accommodated in every way possible. The staff is amazing. They upgraded our room to a city view when we arrived. The beds/rooms were clean (which is a big factor for me when staying in a hotel). The rooms were cleaned everyday and the front desk was always happy to help. So close to the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge which was perfect for us since we had made plans in Brooklyn. I highly recommend this hotel!

Clean rooms - ours faced a direction that meant it was shielded from the noise of the city which was great. The gym facilities were decent. Unfortunately the bed wasn’t comfortable and transferred a lot of movement and noise when anyone moved. This, paired with a noisy air con which turned on and off far too frequently in auto mode, led to a disruptive sleep experience.

Having stayed in NYC a few times this spot is refreshing for the room size. Located right in Chinatown is great for me as I like to walk and explore. Staff are super helpful

Great property! Well kept; friendly staff; nice big room. I got lucky with an extraordinary view of uptown Manhattan. Nice and quiet with a lovely bathroom and big shower! Big bed. They changed the sheets daily (the housekeeper was a very kind woman). I always trust the Joie de Vivre brand. Loved my stay here!
Coffee / tea possibilities in the room would have been nice. Being closer to a subway line would have been even more ideal, but it is relatively close to Soho, LES, Chinatown, etc so what's to complain about?

Towels had an unpleasant smell. Limited storage for luggage, and no towel hooks.
