Location
There was some confusion and some one came to our room at 5 o’clock in the morning because the room was assigned to them also. Then at the front desk person came up to our room and knocked on the door, asking what our names were. We had two rooms. They also woke up my son and his girlfriend in the other room to see what their last name was no apology and for us were from the West Coast so it was basically getting woken up at 3 o’clock in the morning. We flew from Washington state to New York for a cruise. We wanted to get the other day before the cruise so that we could rest after the long flight. Needless to say we didn’t get any rest. The most important thing to note is the front desk person that came to our rooms didn’t so much as apologize for the inconvenience

Location was good as we wanted to be near the Intrepid Museum, room was clean and reasonable size.
The breakfast was terrible - we went downstairs and it was like a refugee camp. I think don't offer breakfast in that state, small breakfast area that seats about 20 and there was about 50 people and one staff putting cinnamon buns from a shop box, as soon as they were down they were gone - food all over it was terrible - if you book don't go for breakfast.

Check-in staff was fantastic!!
Fruit and sausage container was empty on breakfast buffet, no small trash container near coffee. Potatoes were cold. A $50.00 hold was put on my card upon arrival. However, I was not told about it. That is flat out wrong!!

Location was ok
Room was too small and the noise from outside was very disgusting. Breakfast was poor.

Good location ! Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was very hectic but good! Staff was kind and helpful.
Very expensive but I suppose that is the norm for NYC. The room was a bit damp feeling for some reason..... maybe condensation from having the A.C. off when not in use....I'm not sure, but it was clean enough.

Well, it's very expensive to stay in NY, and this hotel's a little bashed but the staff are delightful. There was work going on outside when we stayed there (and it was hot!) so the breakout space outside (which looks like a seating area in the photos) was covered in scaffold and was dark - this meant the small, overcrowded breakfast area was stuffed! The location is near the Hudson (just up from the Intrepid Museum) and is quite industrial (a lot of auto places) but walk up towards Times Square etc and in a few minutes you have restaurants and cafes. There was a big food fair on the weekend we were there, with roads closed off and a great atmosphere. The heart of the city is only about 20 mins walk (the subway is about 10 mins) so you're on the edge of everything. Take the free ferry to Staten Island and come back by New York water taxi to Midtown - you get a great seascape and view of the Statue of Liberty, Jersey Shore and the Manhattan skyline, all for $4.20.
A bigger breakfast area would be nice, but we were there at a busy time!

The location is great and closer to restaurants, bars, supermarkets, parks, subway stations and the entertainment, etc.
I chose queen bed when I booked the room and I didn’t know it’s gonna say base on availability when you arrive otherwise I’ll keep looking for another hotel base on my needs. I don’t want to get double bed when clearly I booked queen bed in the first place. This is my third year going to New York and never disappointed. In the website also stated microwave also included and we found out that we get to request it when we check in but there’s no outlet to unplug it near the top of the cabinet. You need to place it on top of the chair near the outlet. I don’t think I would comeback for my next stay,
