Good location, good facilities, nice bar area and large rooms
When we arrived they had cancelled our booking. I selected pay on arrival when I booked but they tried to take the money weeks before we arrived, because the money wasn’t available in my account at the time my card rejected it and they just cancelled our booking but we weren’t made aware as it still showed as active in my booking.com account. Customer service agreed they shouldn’t have tried to take payment before but when we got to the hotel they said no this isn’t their policy and they always take payment before! We then had to re-book through the Hilton website and pay more money and then I had to spend ages on the phone to booking.com trying to make sure I didn’t get charged from them as well as it had gone past the free cancellation stage. After a whole day of travelling and being on crutches myself this was a big anti climax.

Staff are poorly trained, unhelpful, rude

The rubbish in room dining menu and inability to speak to a human to tailor a good order
I’ve stayed at this hotel many times before and I am a Hilton Honors member, but despite its slight renovation, the hotel has lost all its class and all it’s best staff
Hilton need to learn to train their staff on customer service

I loved the fragrance I smelled as soon as I walked into the facility. It would’ve been nice to carry that to the rooms.
I appreciated the extra help when I needed my theatre tickets printed.
I would stay here on a future NYC visit!
There was a very slight unpleasant mildew-like smell in the room hallway but it was very faint. I don’t have any major dislikes.

Wonderful
I really loved the location and the hotel lobby was quite comfortable and active. There were lots of spaces to meet and even wait after you checked out. The room was spacious and the view was great.
The hotel is in New York and they literally charge for everything like checking your bag and early check ins and late check out. I was surprised by that. Also...don't shop in the lobby store if you can help it...the prices are shockingly high. Another surprise.
