We were impressed with this hotel. Not only was it walking distance (10 minutes tops) to the theatre district and times square as well as all other amenities we were interested in, like top of the rock, it also had stellar views of the city and great staff. We were worried because some reviews cited it being outdated and the check in being awful but this just was not the case. We got to check in early at 2 and no line!!! Many of the negative reviews sound like picky folks to be honest. The room was just fine. If your visiting NY you should be out exploring not complaining the room looked old. For a hotel that is a bit older it was fantastic to us.
