Disappointing
Staff were helpfull during check in and during our stay. The hotel is a few blocks from the Empire State building, and a few blocks further was MSG and Penn station. The subway is just a minutes walk away, so overall the hotel was in a great location for our stay.
When we checked in we were put on the 19th floor and I asked the receptionist if I get a good view of south Manhatten, which I was told "Yes, a much better view than towards Central Park". Well I would question that (please see my photo attached of the building opposite). The room with 2 double beds was small, with a small bathroom. Very tight for 2 adults and 2 teenage kids. The restaurant was "attached" to the hotel, which was a great place to grab a beer and burger while watching some sport on the TV's, however the rooftop bar was never open for the 4 days of our stay as it either wasn't busy enough, or they didn't have enough staff on duty. Breakfast was disappointing, as it was served in the same bar, at the same wooden tables, on the same wooden seats I'd sat and had a beer at the night before while watching the sport. Still with wet patches on the floor and remnants of the previous nights use. Breakfast was served on a mix of wonky tables and onto of a bar shelf where the coffee was cold and limited hard pastries. The hot food was warm, with the safe option being freshly cooked eggs. Really sorry to the great staff, but I wont be staying again.
