Very spacious room, friendly staff, the bed was big and comfortable.
Their new elevator system is great, and we didn't have to wait too long to move between floors.
It was on the more expensive side, but the superb location was worth it.

Very comfortable rooms and perfect location for exploring New York.
The receptionist at the hotel tried to scam us. At check-out, she asked how we planned to get to the airport. We said by taxi, since NYC taxis charge a flat rate to JFK. She insisted (backed up by a colleague) that taxis charge by the meter and the ride would cost around $120, urging us instead to book an SUV through her. Trusting the staff, especially on our first trip to New York, we agreed.
The SUV was late and, due to a complete miscommunication, never showed up at the agreed location. We ended up canceling it and taking a regular taxi, which charged exactly the flat rate we expected from the start.
This was not a misunderstanding - it was a blatant attempt to mislead and overcharge guests. It is shocking that a hotel of such level would tolerate such dishonest practices from its employees. For a first-time visitor to New York, this left a lasting negative impression and significantly destroyed trust in the hotel.

The location was great! Close to many great attractions, walking distance to Central Park, 5th Avenue, Time Square, Hell's kitchen, and more. The room was comfortable, and quiet. The staff was very nice and professional.

This property really needs a facelift. From shakey elevators to rusty fixtures. This property has seen a time.

all people kind
as soon as we checked in into our room, i had to used the toilet and the toilet didnt flush, it was so embarrassing i had to call service, they came to fix it but it was not a nice experience. the next day after we came back to our room in the afternoon, there was a tool drill in the bathroom countertop, someone left it there by mistakes, we told the guy at the front desk. the next day a worker knocked our door and asked if his tool was there, i told him i already gave it to the staff. it was weird
