Disappointing
I would start by saying that the location truly couldn’t be more perfect. Being right in the heart of Manhattan makes this property incredibly convenient, and for that alone, it is a great choice. On top of that, the hotel offers a very nice complimentary breakfast, which is a significant bonus given how rare that is in Manhattan.
However, if you are traveling for work or need a good night’s sleep to stay well-rested and refreshed, this hotel may be a major disappointment.
We had to change rooms after the second night due to a neighboring guest creating a loud disturbance at 3 a.m. Unfortunately, even without noisy neighbors, the rooms are simply not soundproof. It often felt as though we were sitting in the middle of the street we could hear every siren, honk, shout, elevator chime, and door slam. At times, when the adjacent room door closed, the entire wall (including the TV and mirror) would shake.
We were in town for sports training, where proper rest is essential. Sadly, the constant noise left us tired and exhausted, which impacted our entire week of training. Over the course of our stay, we were unable to get even a single night of uninterrupted sleep.
That said, I do want to highlight the exceptional service provided by Mr. Jose and Ms. Alexis at the front desk. They were among the best hospitality professionals we have encountered, professional, courteous, genuinely helpful, and kind. Kudos to both of them.
While the location and breakfast are definite strengths, the lack of proper soundproofing is a serious issue that significantly affects the overall experience, especially for guests on longer stays.
As a Hilton Gold member, I would like to begin by noting that the program advertises benefits such as early check-in, late checkout, and room upgrades. Unfortunately, during this stay, none of these benefits were extended to us. We were repeatedly told that these perks are “subject to availability,” yet availability never seemed to exist, leaving guests with no choice but to accept this at face value. This ultimately diminishes the value of the loyalty program.
More concerning, however, was the experience with the front desk staff. While Mr. Jose and Ms. Alexis were kind and professional (though we encountered them later during our stay), our interaction with Mr. Anthony was extremely disappointing. His demeanor came across as rude, dismissive, and condescending. The communication lacked courtesy and gave the impression that our loyalty status was of no importance.
I would strongly encourage management to focus not only on honoring the benefits promised to loyal guests but also on improving staff training in guest relations. Guests do not seek token gestures like complimentary snacks—we expect the core benefits and respectful service that are part of the brand’s promise.
Secondly, the noise levels in the rooms were unacceptable. Proper soundproofing is a basic expectation, especially for guests on longer stays. The lack of insulation made it very difficult to rest comfortably. It is unfortunate, as the property has great potential, but this fundamental issue significantly impacts the overall experience.
Without improvements in both service consistency and room quality, it is unlikely that long-staying guests will choose to return.

Room was for the handicap. It waa spacious.
Because the room was for handicap, the shower head wasn't ideal. The breakfast was underwhelming. Egg and cheese omlette were empty for 10 minutes. The sausage temperarure was not hot.
