Loved it, so much so, due to unforseen circumstances I had to extend my stay and chose to stay for another 2 days. For me the hotel was everything I needed. It became a place I looked forward to coming back to.
My room was so spacious. I was on the fourth floor and facing th back so it was quiet. I was away from the ice water machine too.
My room was also really beautiful and every member of staff was friendly, kind and really helpful.
The first 4 days I was promised by booking com that if I spent more than X I would qualify for a free taxi from the airport. This offer didn't materialize when I needed it. I have contacted Booking.com on several occasions during my stay to rectify the situation but no response. Please be aware of this offer. The terms state that the taxi will only wait 45 minutes from landing. That's fine. But there's no way I'm landing, getting my luggage and going through immigration within 45 minutes,especially because of my disability.
I decided to wait until I landed and was nearly through immigration before I made the booking for my taxi. The ability to select the option had disappeared. Tried to contact booking.com since, but no joy.
So BE CAREFUL if this offer. A taxi from Romer to airport was over 100 dollars.
This IS NOT THE fault if the hotel. But it's important I mention it, so someone else doesn't get caught out.

Every member of staff was amazing, kind and helpful.
The Lounge/Bar is a gorgeous surprise when you open the door. Dark, red, glamorous and packed with talented musicians.
Location for me was perfect. Not far from central park. Not far from Times Square. Not far to the same places I wanted to go at the last minute. Grocery shops only a few minutes or a few steps away. All perfect.
I was given a quiet room. Which was quiet.
Having to disclose my disability request before checkin and it not being considered when I checked in. After a little discussion everything was sorted asap, with no fuss and I really appreciate it. Thank you.
My Aircon was really really loud. It was like having a gale force wind experience going on in my room,but I actually got used to the noise and was able to sleep.

Most staff were great but I check in we had a grumpy welcome. We would have liked tea-making facilities in our room but they did lend us a kettle.

The location was excellent – really central with a tube stop right outside the hotel, making travel to and from the airport super easy. It was only a 10‑minute walk to Times Square and around 20 minutes to Chelsea and 5th Avenue. The staff were excellent and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were large, and despite being right next to the elevator, there was no noise at all – contrary to what some reviews mention. Our room was set back from the main street and faced the rear, so it was very quiet. We also loved that we could bring a takeaway back and eat it in reception, which was a great option for a family travelling on a budget. Would highly recommend!
