The staff was behind courteous and helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Better than anticipated. The location was great. Quiet, close to subway and South Street Seaport. Our nieces have been coming here for quite a while and recommended The Gild highly.
Room was a little shabby. Could use to be painted, bathroom caulked. Headboard was a bit worn.

The size of the room was really good, comfortable bed, great service, when there was an issue with the air conditioner they followed up with me immediately, they hold luggage post check out, and it’s near everything!

Really loved how friendly the staff was. Always over the top and one of the best experiences I’ve had in a hotel setting.
My only issue was the address online sometimes is a little off showing on Gold st. My water was also coming out as orange maybe because of pipes? Not sure.

Overcharged from the get go. Hotel couldn’t even reverse the holds. Was held for triple the amount that the hotel total cost due to a “system error”, that has not been returned to me. Staff did not care one bit. Rooms are old and dated.

It was cozy and employees were friendly and responsive . The beds were pretty comfortable
It felt a little dark like guest rooms needed updating. The tile shower was not in best condition and bacteria on tub and shower caulk - that pinkish color . I tried to order room service- called twice and had to leave a voice mail and also front desk and no luck. it would have been nice to have a coffee maker in room . Seemed expensive for what you get but that is probably nyc

The bed was comfortable, and the room was large enough for two. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I really liked the provided toiletries, and the large shower head and hot water were great. I was on the 18th floor in a corner room so it was nice and quiet.
The bathroom was small (but, very clean!) The room was quite dark overall, even with the window. The air conditioner was loud when it cycled on, but I'm a light sleeper.

Room was tidy and looked like in its prime would have been nice.Breakfast staff were friendly and the breakfast was really good!
Arrived and was told our room was not ready, we had just drove for 12 hours and were ready to crash. I was offered a drink at the bar, but that quickly changed to warm bottles of water as they found us an alternate room. One of the two elevators were broken ( wait time was long). Room was tidy but not cleaned as much as the reviews said. Room was worn, needed a refresher. Was told that the gym was tiny so told to use Crunch instead, then ended up having to pay for a pass, hotel said they would credit it- didn’t do that, had to remind them when we paid.

Wonderful
The location was very good, in the financial district. The room was very coze, nicely decorated and everything was in good conditions. Cute toilet.
The courtains couldn't close completly which was a bit annoying because there were meeting rooms in the front building. Other than that, everything was good.
