The room was spacious, the bed ultra comfortable, and the view amazing!
We appreciated the pool and its great view on the Empire State.
The bar was great and the staff really friendly. There was complimentary tea and coffee in the morning, which was a bonus, I think.

The bed was very comfortable and the size of the room was perfect and large for NYC. The pool was great and still open 7-12 everyday and heated so my 6 year old loved that. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and we looked forward to it every day. The staff sent a bottle of Prosecco with a lovely note to wish a happy birthday which was very special :-)

The greatest location you can ask for. The Empire state building view from the pool area is magnificent. The pool is not the biggest, but unique for its view and gate construction. The view from bar terrace is also amazing. Equipment of room is average, but the bed is super comfortable. Live music on Fri/Sat/Sun is a lovely benefit which I really enjoyed. The meal for brunch was super small for its price! And I had to pay with a physical card! It was not possible to pay with a card in my smart phone... I would return to the hotel, but they might improve in some ways.
I came with a bouquet of flowers and asked at the front desk for a vase to keep those flowers in my room. They said: we do not have a vase. Really? At a 5 star hotel? Am I the only lady who got flowers?
Rooms are between 4 and 5 star. I have stayed in a nicer design rooms in NYC last year (that hotel was "only" 4 star). There was a coffee machine but no milk or creamer. For a 5 star I would love to have a better and more spacious bathroom, bath tub had some stains (not a dirt - probably a colortransfer). Cleaning was great and cleaning ladies very attentive.

I booked a top hotel, good location and high price, so I could have a good experience.
On arrival late at night, the door was locked, with no bell. Staff at reception were not monitoring the door and it took a guest to leave for me to be able to get in.
Then when I was leaving early in the morning, reception was empty, with two staff at the desk and one that seemed to be a porter. The door was not automatic and not easy to open with heavy luggage. Although it was clear that I was struggling, nobody offered to help.
During my stay, I booked brunch with two guests on Sunday and every part of the service (taking orders, forgetting part of the order and having to be reminded, then serving water to only 2 of us and not returning until I had to get up and ask about the third glass) was extremely poor.
All in all, for a 3 night stay at a 5 star hotel, having poor and neglectful service on 3 occasions is beyond disappointing.
