bathroom a bit dated, took a long time to get hotwater and not always very hot, aircondition quite loud and no remote to adjust temperature, didn't get housekeeping every day, no refrigerator in room

Fantastic rooftop bar with great coctails. Staff generally friendly and helpful. Location was absolutely spot on for us, close to Penn Station and a good base for all sort of trips. Good breakfast options too. Well equipped, great size gym.
Some more no/low-sugar breakfast options would be great.

Good location, close proximity to Penn Station.
This hotel was advertised as a 4 star, it is a 3 star at best. No hot water on a daily basis during our stay which the hotel advised was due to work outside the hotel.

Excelent location, just a few steps from Madison Square Garden.
They had 3 elevators, 1 in Schedule Maintenance, 1 out of order and the last one being operated by an Engineer like in the 50s. Took for ever to go up and down. Front desk staff suggested to have patience or to use the stairs...20 something floors building. Ridiculous!
There was no hot shower. Gave notice about the problem 3 times. They didn't do much more than just apologize.
Finally, when I checked out, they promised "one free night" worth of Bonvoy points. That didn't happened so far.
Not what I was expecting at all from a 4 stars Marriott, $400+ a night hotel.

Imagine paying 410 USD per night at a hotel, and having to shower with cold water during your entire your stay. Extremely dissatisfied.

The room was clean and the location was very good
We asked for a baby crib in advance and when we checked in. The receptionist wrote it down and talked to other staff, but when we got back to our room there was no crib.
We went to take a shower and the water was lukewarm and had low pressure. That's when I called the reception (around 9:30pm) and no one answered.
Next morning I talked to the receptionist again about the the baby crib and the water. She apologized and seemed like the water issues are a common complaint, and guaranteed an engineer will fix it, along with the baby crib she promised a day before.
None of these happen - we came back to our room and didn't even take a shower because the water was so cold.
We also never got the baby crib.

Front desk do try to help
When I arrived at 4 a.m., I found blood stains on the sheets, which made it impossible to sleep, though I didn’t have the energy to deal with it at that hour. The next day, after I complained, I discovered that someone had simply left folded clean bedding in the room without actually cleaning it or changing the bed.
Throughout my stay, two out of three elevators were not working, so I often had to wait up to 10 minutes just to get in or out of the hotel.
Additionally, the staff couldn’t provide clear directions to Newark Airport (EWR), which was surprising given that this is the Penn Station hotel.
Overall, a very disappointing experience.

It’s so convenient, we rode Amtrak to NY. City, crossed the street to the hotel. The next morning had breakfast, walked around the city, and Ubered to the cruise ship.

Room was poor, our window looked out at a wall. Decor needs modernising.
Elevators were broken
Breakfast was horrendous
Staff didn’t seem to care when we gave feedback or asked about when the elevators would be repaired.
