Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Hotel was perfectly situated
for all the things we wanted to see on a first time visit to New York. Breakfast was excellent with so much choice. Great view from window in room.
Breakfast area was very busy and had to queue for table on two of the mornings but it was thanksgiving and staff were working extremely hard to please everyone.

Very Poor
How close it was to Time Square.
During our stay, we encountered several inconveniences that made the experience disappointing. Upon arrival, we noticed that out of the three elevators, only one appeared to be working, and it was extremely slow. Because of this, we ended up using the stairs most of the time—fortunately, we were only on the third floor.
When we entered the room, it was immediately clear that it was much smaller than what we expected, and noticeably smaller than the photos shown online when we booked. For a group of three adults and one child, the space was nowhere near adequate. Even the beds felt significantly smaller than what was advertised. We were also disappointed to find a “window view” room that didn’t actually have a window you could look out of.
Shortly after settling in, we realized there was only a half-used roll of toilet paper and no additional rolls stocked in the room, unlike most hotels. We had to call and request more. The shower was another issue—getting the water to the right temperature was difficult, and the pipes made loud, unsettling noises anytime the shower was in use.
While the housekeeping staff did a great job with daily cleaning, trash removal, and making the beds professionally, the floors clearly needed to be vacuumed, and the carpets had an unpleasant smell, as if they hadn’t been shampooed or properly cleaned in some time.
Overall, between the elevator issues, the extremely small room and beds, the misleading window description, and the maintenance concerns, the stay fell far below our expectations, especially for our first visit to New York City. The only positive was the effort and professionalism of the housekeeping staff.

Very Good
Our stay was amazing! Very good location, subway station very close, we felt safe at all times. The room had plenty of space for big luggages, very clean aswell and the bed super comfy.
Also amazing views of th empire state building from our room, we didn't expect it at all, went to bed everynight looking at it. Breakfast it was good, however not many option to choose from, and if you're staying for a week it gets tiring, but food super good! Totally recommend the hotel for your stay in NY, also really appreciate how nice and professional the staff was, very helpful and kind at all times.
The thing we did not felt comfy with was the elevators, sometimes it was taking so long to get the elevator and going down it was stoping to each floor, i guess it was rather busy when we stayed.

Very Poor
The only positive thing to say about this hotel was its location.
The rooms were substandard quality and extremely dilapidated. I feel that some of the staff would benefit with customer service training, especially the manager.

The location was within decent walking distance to most places
The room was 1/2 the size I thought it would be, I had a window that looked out over an alley in the back, and it was the most expensive hotel in 5 different hotels in a week long stay around New England and New York.

Hotel is very conveniently located opposite the station and walking distance to the Broadway show I was going to. The receptionist was especially great, wish I could remember his name!
It was extremely pricey, not sure if that's the norm for New York, because of this I only stayed the 1 night.
