Modern and clean with friendly staff.
There were children staying next to us for a part of the stay who kept running and chatting audibly. That was the only issue we had.

We liked having a hotel with a good restaurant, it was convenient to be able to have a snack when we arrived after a long flight. The room decor was blind but perfectly acceptable, clean and with nice touches such as free snacks, bottles of water, a safe that worked well. A couple of minor issues in the bathroom was sorted out very quickly..
The only thing I didn't like was the organisation of the bathroom. There wasn't enough shelf space.

The concierge.
The parking situation, lack of explanation of certain options provided, not being priority after requesting early check in and didn’t check in until after 3pm.

Everything. The staff was so friendly and professional. The lobby always had fresh orange or lemon water, the rooms were so nice. The location was so perfect. So pretty, modern, and so clean. It was such a nice stay.
Only that theres no room service except from the restaurant attached (the benjamin steakhouse?) so it was very limited and closed at 10 so couldnt order anything later.

Loved the chemistry theme and history (we are both inorganic analytical/physical chemists).
Location could not be better -- 2 blocks from Grand Central Terminal in the heart of Midtown. Large rooms.
Elevator is a bit slow at times. A shame that more of the American Chemical Society heritage was not able to be preserved. Room price (if booked far in advance) is reasonable for a Midtown boutique hotel.

Wonderful
Friendly and helpful staff and centrally located just 1 block from Grand Central Terminal. Clean and stocked with water and snacks. Nice robes and toiletries available. Also the size of the hotel was very much like a boutique hotel feeling. Not crazy busy with guests.
Would have been great had the lighting been disable. Really should have a night light in the bathroom as it was either pitch black or blindingly bright. Also the bath could've used a venting fan as the shower would always steam up the mirror. Small issues that would really add to a nicer experience.

My main thing is that its so so clean and the interior is new. Such helpful staff. Its perfect pricing and perfect location and perfectly sized room, such a gem.
No room service after 10:30pm.

Live out of the country but arrived from California after a visit with family. Sister-in-law had an art opening downtown (it was amazing), so she stayed with me the second night. We were both very comfortable, and we both know the city. The location was excellent for getting to her show and for taking the LIRR to meet my new grand-niece on Long Island. I picked the hotel for the easy access to the train and the subway, but loved the area as a whole.
Hated the few steps at the entry - mostly because the door opens OUT, which makes for a not-so-smooth entry into the lobby. Not a big issue, but it's awkward.

The property was clean and in a fantastic location. We had a brilliant room. The staff were lovely. I will happily recommend this hotel to future guests and I would stay there again.
If I had to suggest anything, I would suggest including breakfast as an option in the price.
