The location is *excellent*, next to Central Station The gym is ok coffee machine and kettle in room - which is good
It may just be me but: - the check-in staff was unhelpful - tried to charge me extra - the hotel had been acquired by a Spanish Group - Eurostars - the week before, and they were obviously undergoing training - the restaurant was tired and expensive; the food really *very* poor - the bed - and the pillows - were *way* too soft and I slept badly for five nights :( - the chair is too low to work at the desk (!! rookie error) - taps loose, difficult to use - towel rail also loose, so evident lack of maintenance (!)

Room size was good for NYC. Also loved the complimentary snacks and drinks. Breakfast was also above average. I read somewhere that it was continental so my expectations were low, but that was not the case. There were many hot options in the restaurant. Location was also very convenient.

Great hotel with very friendly staff. Big room for New York and very clean. Great location. Steak house attached to hotel was amazing for breakfast and dinner.

It was central located in upper manhattan, the rooms were extremely clean and cleaned often. The staff were attentive for the most part.
The suite was quite basic for the price, reminded me more of a standard hotel room. The front desk wasn’t taking notes or communicating very well. I asked for a late checkout which they forgot about and I asked for them to take some trash out my room and I had to ask a couple times before someone turned up eventually.

I liked the room - i slept very well, it was quiet, clean, and very comfortable, the complimentary water, softdrinks and snacks were a very nice touch, and the items in the bathroom like soap and lotion were really nice.
One of my towels smelled midewey, the breakfast restaurant was not very cozy (but the food was good!) and the staff at the front desk sometimes straightup ignored me, even when I said hello. The portier staff was amazing thought, they were the ones who asked me in I needed help, brought me water etc.
