I've been staying in Courtyard and Residence Inn by Marriott Manhattan/Central Park at the end of June and in the beginning of October. I've returned because my stay in June was great and I knew what to expect. I have to say that the staff is amazing, when we arrived in October after a long day of travel, Cyril (at the reception) was extremely friendly and helpful. He got us an upgrade with a beautiful room, amazing view to the Central Park and breakfast which was delicious and the hot choice changed every day from pancakes to waffles to French toast and cheese omelet. In the afternoon we got freshly baked cookies with macadamia nuts and white chocolate-an absolute must! It just made our day! I will definitely return to Residence inn by Marriott because it's a place I felt at home and very comfortable.

The location was great, the gym was nice and the view from our hotel was good. It was quiet which is nice in a busy city like new york.
It wasn't very clean. The gym had water damage on the floor right when you got out of the elevator like the floor was bubbling up and the elevator had broken glass panels. The shower in our place was like they poured a lot of bleach in it to make it seem clean but actually smelled weird and when you got out your feet felt burned from the bleach residue. I have a severe allergy to lavender and unfortunately, they had no other fragrances so I had to go buy separate shampoo and conditioner which is annoying but ultimately fine. Another thing kind of gross was the amount of dust and grime behind the bed there was a big gap and my phone fell and I had a bunch of dust bunnies when I went to grab it.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the lack of response from your hotel and customer service team. Despite multiple attempts to contact you before, during, and after my stay, I have not received any satisfactory feedback. I initially sent several messages and requests prior to my stay, reiterated these as the stay approached, and followed up after the stay had concluded. Unfortunately, the final response I received from your team was to contact the booking agency (Booking.com). This suggestion is quite unreasonable since, in most of my past stays, I have always received invoices directly from the hotel, not the agency. This situation has caused significant inconvenience and wasted a considerable amount of my time in pursuing and waiting for a resolution. I do not appreciate this handling of my concern and I urge you to provide timely assistance to rectify this matter.

Very good hotel! The location is excellent — right at Times Square, just a few blocks from Central Park, and within walking distance to the Empire State Building, Summit One, and Rockefeller Center. The breakfast was very good, with a nice buffet. The staff was very kind and helpful . The elevators can take a bit longer at times, but that’s expected in such tall buildings. The room is not big, but that’s normal for New York. Overall, a great stay and perfect location for exploring the city!

The hotel is nicely located, so you can get there by subway from the airport. It's close to Central Park and to many subway lines. The room we were staying has a great view overlooking the city skyline. There's also a great service provided to get you to the airport. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful.
Even though we stayed in an upgraded room, it turned out to be quite small — there was barely enough space to open a single suitcase on the floor. The room felt rather outdated, and most of the furniture and amenities seemed to be in need of repair. The bathroom also had drainage issues, so water accumulated during the shower, leaving up to 10cm standing on the floor. Additionally, breakfast was quite disappointing. Whether due to ongoing restaurant renovations or cost-cutting measures, it was served on plastic plates with plastic cutlery. There was no coffee machine available, and the overall breakfast quality was mediocre at best. Overall, I find it hard to believe that the current conditions meet the standards of a four-star hotel.
