The bathroom was handsome, well-appointed and almost as big as the bedroom. Even had a bidet (,which I didnt need). The bed and pillow both were amazingly comfy. Dark and dead quiet at night...unusually so for NYC . Absolutely perfect place to rest up . Also the front desk staff was super courteous.
The lobby is barely big enough to stand in...but, hey, you aren't paying to sleep in the lobby! Don't let the entry way make you think this is any less than a first class facility.

The location was perfect for my purpose. The coffee machine downstairs was great. I wish they offered more unsweet food and protein like eggs. My bed and pillows were really comfortable; I asked for an extra blanket and got it right away. The front desk and doormen were very nice.
I wish there was coffee in the room. The mini bar had empty bottles and missing bottles - It never occurred to me to check it first but management believed me and didn't charge me. I wish the breakfast offered more unsweet options and eggs.

Check in went well. Stored our bags until the time. Ceilings were beautiful - carved.
Carpet-ripped & stained, desk chair not stable, sofa bed HORRIBLE - person slept in chair. Strong odor of cleaning supplies but not clean. No coffee available during the day. Coffee machine at breakfast broken. Cigarette butts & cigarette packages on balcony. One bathrobe, 3 people. No heat on level 2.

Disappointing
It is at the heart of Manhattan.
Firstly, the staff at the reception were rude and unwelcoming. They gave me a bill that did not reflect the exact price that I paid for my stay. More than that, they charged me for the wine I did not drink in the hotel room. I called and they said they were refunding as we spoke, but they actually did not! I called the second time, and I had to say if they would not refund, I would write my complaint everywhere and speak with the manager, then they refunded. Luckily, I checked my transactions and saw this charge. It would have easily gone unnoticed. Calling them twice and explaining that I did not drink was time-consuming and frustrating for me!

Great location, and the breakfast was good. It would’ve been even better with some protein options like eggs or ham.
The room smelled musty, like old carpet. Found a live cockroach in the bathroom. Staff didn’t mention a water fountain or ice machine—expected that in a sustainable property. Also, the TV wasn’t a smart TV.
