Liked the design of the room, shower and bed.
I chose a room on an higher floor and was given a room on the 6th floor with no view. I felt misled. There was a strong musty smell in the lobby.

Scaffolding around the entranceway. Tiny revolving door at entrance made getting in difficult and made us annoyed before we'd even got to the desk. The width of the room was the width of the bed. Toilet so close to the bed. A 37 year old being sent back to the room to get a passport to get into the hotel bar.

I loved all the art, it was really fun. The views from the rooftop bar are beautiful. I also found the staff very friendly and helpful.
Rooms were a little on the small size but not that bad for NYC. As a sold traveler it was fine.

Funky, high tech property that was well decorated and used the small space in the rooms to make things neat, clean and organized. Great rooftop area with bar and small bites.
Small rooms- no privacy in the bathroom- young, hip vibe that felt a bit too much for a couple close to 60 y.o.

We stayed only one night, excellent location to stay in a neighborhood frequented by local people and far from the tourist areas, the room is small but functional and very modern, comfortable bed. We had a good time, the staff were friendly.

The rooms are extremely tiny. The location is not central, but well connected with the subway. The bed was not very comfortable.
The room was modern and clean, but very small. Also, the bed was not comfortable. But the thing that bothered me the most, was the way both the hotel staff and Booking.com managed my personal tax exemption. Long story short, I did not get what was my right to have. Considering it is not even their money, I have stopped using Booking.com to book (I only use it to search the hotel), and I do not certainly recommend staying at the CitizenM Bowery.
