Terrible location , homeless on benches outside no luggage cart it was a food cart The rooms are terrible you would need to jump over each other to get out of bed Not enough outlets we had to move to a different hotel we have CPAP AMD they could not accommodate it and would not refund our money

Main reason for me to stay at CitizenM Bowery is the fact that this is the only hotel in the whole city that guaranteed will always give me a perfect, quiet, noisefree sleep, despite the busy location, even better than at home! Perfect insulation and construction. Great bed, friendly staff, unique location at the corner of Spring Street, and an amazing rooftop bar with great views.
I don't mind so much, and personally I never had a bad experience, but right outside the hotel is a shelter for homeless, with people in obvious need often hanging around the area close to the entrance. This may give visitors an uncomfortable feeling. It would be great if CitizenM could initiate or contribute to some kind of project to help these people. I am happy to donate on every next visit.

The room was small but cozy and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable and there was a big window to look out of onto the city right next to the bed. It was pleasantly snug. For such a large hotel, there was never that long a wait for elevators even during prime check-out time. The staff is very friendly and the entrance is well-lit and attended.
The surroundings felt a bit rough. The entrance is set back and next to a small park area with a lot of people hanging around and didn't always feel safe, although nothing happened and they only interacted with each other. But reflecting that outdoors concern, I found the halls around the elevators a bit too dimly lit and would've preferred a bit more light.

The room is the width of a king bed - wall to wall surrounded on 3 sides by the walls. The length of the room is about 4 king beds. The room is TINY and not worth the nightly cost. The bed is against the back wall/ window and only had one point of entry, so your partner has to CRAWL over you to get in and out. There was no top sheet. The top cover isn’t big enough to cover 2 people, making it difficult to sleep. The shower and toilet are in the middle of the room and provide little privacy, as it is about 6 feet away from the bed. The only saving grace to the room was the view.
