I had a great stay and would stay here again. The room was spotlessly clean and the hotel had great facilities.

Wonderful
Cool reception and vibe and also room design.
Roof top bar could have been nicer, quite poor atmosphere. Went up once in 4 nights.

Disappointing
The location is very good and the check-out is efficient. The public areas in the hotel are cozy and the view is spectacular, however the rooftop bar is for consumption not really to hang out.
The room had this wet cell with toilet and shower that didn't really allow closing the door, more like a public stall. way too prominent, the center of the room is basically the toilet, so weird. also it is very cheap. would only recommend to couples that regularly do toilet together. also, couldn't reach the window without climbing through the bed. also, the corporate fragrance is obnoxious and everywhere. and the dimmed light might be moody but very unfunctional, e.g. where the ironing room is. can't really see what one is doing. also, the only indicator that the room was being cleaned was a used rag that was forgotten- apart from that only cleaned at the very surface.

The room was designed perfectly. The HUGE window provided an incredible view of the NYC skyline. Bed was super comfy. Great shower. Loved the refillable water bottles, real glasses and no plastic! The staff were great, real people with positive attitudes about working at the hotel; no scripted customer service talk TG! It was fun getting to know a new area of the city! Definitely this is a terrific place to stay!
It would have been nice to have a Bluetooth speaker for music in the room. The signature scent is very nice, but a little less would have been perfect

Poor
Location
Several things didn't go well and never received any sort of help or follow through from various staff despite making several requests and a couple complaints - namely our room's iPad to control EVERYTHING died on the first night bc they charger didn't work. I immediately requested a replacement charger sent to the room and was told one would arrive shortly but never did. I made a 2nd request and was told the same thing but never arrived. Throughout our stay I called or went to front desk directly and spoke with several Differnt employees who each said a charger for the iPad would be sent up to our room - maybe 7 times. None ever arrived so for our entire stay we couldn't adjust the temperature or raise the curtains or adjust lighting to our preference NOR TURN OFF THE TV OR CHAMGE CHANNELS. Finally the tv just turned off by itself and we just couldn't use any of the room's amenities. At one point a team member told us to download the app to control the room but of course that didn't work and the app said that because Marriott is currently transitioning as hotel management (or something) the app temporarily doesn't work. I gave up trying to have anything fixed or resolved because the pattern was already clear that help was not a primary concern of this hotel. In addition to this being an important work trip it was also a very special anniversary tip for my partner and I and much of that excitement was tainted by our relationship experience in this hotel room. Luckily it's NYC and there's plenty to do but it absolutely made us not want to be in our room, period. I'm not really a complainer and have worked in hospitality for 20 years so we just rolled with it and made the best of our short time in the city - but obviously that's not how this should go. I'd appreciate a response if not some sort of resolution or compensation but I won't hold my breath.

Excellent location, close to SOHO, Little Italy, Chinatown. Staff was awesome. Rooms were on small side extremely functional and probably the quietest hotel I’ve stayed in….I stayed on the Brooklyn side of the building which is quiet. Nice lounge area and roof top bar!
