I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I had a spacious room with two beds. It also included free water and snacks which was very thoughtful. Also, it's convenient to the subway. The staff were very friendly and I was happy with my stay!
The shower was a little smaller than I would have liked.

The room was tiny but the beds were very very comfortable
1) The room was reeeaaaally tiny, and the window was filthy and looked out at the wall of another building. That can't be helped but it would have been nice to open the curtains to a clean window. I usually like to get some fresh air, even if in the city! 2) The woman at the front desk wasn't that friendly. She wasn't unfriendly but she just didn't seem very warm, 3) There was a monstrously huge reproduction of some not-so-great art that took up the corner of the wall over the sink. It would have been more helpful if there had been a shelf there to put our toilet kits on.

What we noticed first was the friendliness of the staff. We typically encounter friendly staff when checking in, but this time felt different. Throughout the stay, everyone was so nice. The room, though small, felt very cozy. It was very well designed including the bathroom. The 24hr coffee, tea, and hot chocolate was nice to have.
I have never traveled where there wasn't hair conditioner supplied. I guess that I would have brought my own had I not assumed that they would have it. We are big coffee and tea drinkers, and the drinks are only offered in the lobby. So, when I got up in the morning and wanted a cup, I had to get dressed. I usually like it before getting dressed in the morning. Not the biggest deal, but my preference :)

Even though the room is on the smaller side, the fact that it had no windows, it helped to have an amazing sleep. The bed and pillows are super comfortable. Excellent location!

I loved the midtown location and the rooms though small were very nicely done. My room had it own little courtyard which was darling.
It is a smaller hotel, but the staff are very friendly and the rooms are very nicely done. Plus the location is great!

I LOVED the staff! Everyone was exceptionally kind and oh so helpful!! Our room was so great and clean! I loved the extra touch of the snacks and drinks in the fridge in the rooms. It was also great to walk in the lobby and have coffee, tea, and hot chocolate ready for you. Next time I come back to NYC, I will for sure stay here again!
I wish that there could be a coffee maker the hotel room and grab and go breakfast items in the lobby!

Clean.
Started, with elevator out of order. Carried luggage up 5 floors. We got our workout that night. The plus side.
TV functionality wacked. Had another room number displayed on TV. Staff attendant treid to get it to work, tells me I had to hold remote to the left of TV to get it to work. That was bizarre. Overall it did not work.
Tried to use phone to call front desk and all I would get is a dial tone. No matter what key I used. Overall it did not work.
I wanted to use a small safe in room. But it was not fastened down or secured. Someone could put the safe in a suitcase and easily walk out the front with the safe.
And lastly, all night, when the heat came on, it blew on us in bed. Felt like air conditioning. The plus side I haven't slept that close to my wife in years.

Second floor room was very clean, quiet at night, easy to use. 3 friends stayed and it accommodated us easily. Staff greeted us with friendly advice and directions. Blue Angel is close to MOMA so a short walk there, there's a nearby subway station and a Starbucks on the corner. We also ate at a Thai restaurant next door on our first night and the food was very good.
