I know this hotel, therefore there was no surprise. The staff was as polite and helpful as I remembered it to be. I would return. Typically a business hotel.
The hotel is aging a bit, especially the room bathrooms. Also, the bathroom cleaning needs some extra effort from housekeeping. Nothing dramatic, but requires attention.

Very nice and clean room. House keeping is excellent. Pleasant staff at the desk. Excellent location for downtown manhattan, near the pier for a nice evening walk.
No way to switch lights at the desk on/off from the bed or hallway. Not a big problem but for the price that would be nice. Sometimes a grumpy breakfast host but maybe thats just the New York touch ;-)
