Exceptional
I liked the size and cleanliness, the view of the river from the window, and some of the room amenities like the mini fridge, microwave, electric kettle, iron/ironing board, and the hairdryer. The shower is also excellent, with the hose attachment and the adjustable spray. Great water pressure and temperature control, too.
My friend who was travelling with me really loved the beds in particular and claimed that it was some of the best sleep she'd gotten in quite some time.
It was also in super close walking distance to the venue of the event we were in town to see, and the staff at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating in directing us to some after-show karaoke.
The lack of on-site dining options/no room service, the fact that the only way to get filtered water for a reusable water bottle is to go all the way down to the basement fitness center, and the fact that you need your keycard to operate the elevator.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely understand the security reasons behind that choice, but this was the first time I'd ever encountered such a mechanic simply for using an elevator, and it was frustratingly easy to forget.
The number of amenities on the property also seemed kind of lacking considering I paid a little over a grand for the room. I mean, okay, I get it, NYC prices and all, and this was far from THE most expensive option on the booking list, but it rather seemed like I was paying a premium price for somewhat standard offerings.

Disappointing
Management was abrupt and unresponsive to a question at check-in. Unusual for this location and disappointing.

Very Good
The hotel is in an excellent location for downtown events and is close to the subway for efficient transportation elsewhere. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a drink at the second floor bar. The view of the river from our room was ver nice.
The room was expensive, which might have been due to the UN event happening at the same time, and the room was very compact but well laid out.

Poor
Location is nice.
The first room they offered had a strong odor. When I informed the reception, they offered me a downgrade, explaining that they didn’t have a similar room available. If I wanted a different room, it would be without a view. In similar situations, most other hotels would try to offer an upgrade.
When I asked about street parking, they said they don’t recommend it because ‘this is Manhattan, and your car can be towed for no reason,’ which is completely untrue. I lived in Manhattan for three years, and no one tows your car without a valid reason. It felt like they were just trying to scare me into using their parking lot.

Good
The toilet area is separated from the room with a sliding glass door. Don’t bring anyone that you’re not comfortable hearing you fart. It’s like taking a dump with the door open.

Great location. Comfortable and clean rooms, and very friendly staff.
The body soap and shampoo were low to empty in the bathroom, and they didn't refill it.
