Very Poor
As a photographer - I have spent most of the past twenty years on the road, and can say this was one of my worst hotel experiences in terms of customer service.
Obviously technical faults happen, thats nobody's fault. But with no tv or wifi in my room, it was an inconvenience as I had the engineer in there dismantling things. After over four hours of that, I asked if I could change rooms - the solution i was offered was a discount at the restaurant or find myself another hotel. That has to be some of the worst customer service I’ve experienced.
So at 9pm, I have to start looking for another hotel in NY
I have a disability, I manage, but it brings its challenges. I did not expect to be forced to move hotels on my own at that time in the evening because my other option was to be in a room with no wifi or tv, an engineer (so no privacy) at 9pm, with parts of tv on the bed.
I dont leave reviews and like to keep complaints private, but I did send a message similar to the above to the hotel direct, but received no reply

The smell, the friendly staff, the decor
The ac wasn’t fully working and had some hot nights even though maintenance looked at it and fixed it briefly. The sink kept clogging from day 1. The elevators are small and sound like they need some work. Very busy area so traffic is really bad

Not much. Hard to fault really. Would be great if courtesy car run all week and not just selective days. But so great to have the courtesy car at all

A fantastic location, a property focused on sustainability. The interior decor was on point and the staff where incredible and very accommodating with a partciualt Shoutout to Maria, she was wonderful. Our trip was in celebration of our enegament so the team left us a bottle of prosecco and personalised handwritten note as a congratulations! A lovely touch.
When we arrived we an taken to our room on the 4th floor which was a queen room and inwards facing room. Little did we know this meant the generator for the hotel was directly outside our window and it was extremely loud! If you're a heavy sleeper this may not be a problem but if you're a light sleeper like me it was horrendous. And given that we where spending $4000 and staying for the week it was something we weren't prepared to settle for. It sounded like the window was wide open. We informed Maria on reception and she was super accommodating and showed us another room although the room interior wasn't to our preference. So she said she would make a note for us to switch rooms the following day, which we did (at an extra total cost of $95pn) We switched to a more spacious room on the 12th floor -window facing 58th Street. Now although this was a fantastic room the downfall was that the wifi didn't work properly nor the aircon, so it was a struggle casting from the laptop to the tv or trying to work and of a night it would get really hot because the aircon system would say it was on but it wasn't. You knew it was on because you could hear it however during the night it would be silent and hot.

Wonderful
I was so pleasantly surprised by this hotel! The staff was wonderfully attentive and thoughtful, the rooms were clean and efficient, and the bed was so comfortable (I spelt great)! Great location, too! Very comfortable, great shower, especially coming in after a late fun night. Very relaxing and private.

I loved the decor, all of the plants inside, as well as in the room.
our room smelled a little like cigarette smoke and our a/c stopped working at night so sleeping felt uncomfortable
