Very Good
This was our second time there and almost all was like a few years ago. Although it is an old hotel and far from city center it is cheap and you have bus just around the corner and Subway station 10 minutes from hotel.
The woman who did us the check in around 9pm and the girl from the check out were very friendly.And they spoke Spanish which is helpful. Also the guy from the evening before 10 pm. Very smiley all the time. They get you a taxi for the airport and you have it in 5 minutes. We also liked that you can leave your luggage after check out so you can explore the city for the last time. We like that you have kitchen in the room so you can prepare easy meals or enjoy the breakfast there.
There are 2 supermarkets close to the hotel so you can buy a few things if you need them.
Overall, good stay. If we return to NY we will choose Pointe Plaza.
Poor breakfast. A few years ago there were more options including croissants and you could prepare your own bagel or toast.
They didn't clean the room after the first night so we had to request towels and shower gel at reception. The last day they didn't do the room very well but they left clean towels so we didn't say anything. Also the tv is old and not smart tv so you can't lay in bed and watch streaming after a long day in the city.
Another thing we didn't like is the shower head on the wall. It is a bit of a hassle to take a shower if you don't want to wash your hair. They should improve with a shower head with stripe.

Lots to like about the hotel and the staff
Awful location. Nothing to see or do around there unless you're a part of the Jewish Orthodox community which dominates the area - not even a bar within walking distance and the subway is quite a hike too. If you want to find anything fun to do, you'll need an Uber app on your phone.

The room was spacious and very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast had a nice variety, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Everything felt well organized and convenient.
The hotel is a bit far from the main subway lines, which made getting around the city slightly inconvenient. Also, the walls were a bit thin, so I could sometimes hear noise from the hallway.

If you like freshly baked bagels for breakfast you cant get wrong here. You are in the Jewish dense area of Brooklyn after all. Despite a bit more quite area it always felt safe to walk around, even late at night.
A bit of a walk from either Latimer Road or Flushing Avenue stop (~15 min) which felt forever after walking around NYC the whole day and night and feet were sore
