Wonderful
Super friendly and helpful staff, nice artwork, quaint room! The door to the room automatically locks as well, which made me feel safe. The courtyard was a nice touch too
Literally the only thing that makes this a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 is that the room got pretty cold at night! I stayed in early november, went to sleep with 3 layers on, and still felt the chill. I'd still stay there again, but would love if its a little warmer next time

Appreciate the single beds instead of bunks. Bathroom within room was a huge plus. Common areas cozy and functional.

It's my 2nd time to stay in NY Moore, I will still choose it for future trips. No bunk beds, very comfortable beds with side table and lamp. Private and clean bathroom, big lockers, about 10 minutes walk from the subway station (Montrose). Reception desk guys are very friendly and very helpful. Different sitting areas, free hot drinks and free fruits.

Pleasant
Great location, overall cleanliness and free coffee.
More expensive options such as 3 & 4-bedrooms are next to a construction site and faceing the street.
Hostel's "quiet hours" from 11pm-7 a.m. but plentiful
irens and bulldozer heard at 3 a.m.
Having those more expensive options located at the rear might def help sleeping better.

It was my second stay in NY Moore Hostel and I can't think about a better place to stay in New York City. Free coffee and tea all day and night is a blast, the staff is really nice and very helpful, the location is perfect - near metro station (short ride to Manhattan) and the price is reasonable. Highly recommended! :)

The NY Moore Hostel is a neat little place, that does everything a hostel should. You can sleep, shower, and relax, all with little fuss. The staff were polite and understanding, and the facilities were clean and convenient. The lounge was nice, and provided fresh water and coffee in the mornings. The desk was staffed 24/7, making my late arrival and early departure seamless and worry free. The rooms leave plenty of space so none of the other hostel mates feel like they are intruding, even when you are trying to sleep. Overall, a wonderful place to stay for a short visit to the city.
The beds and bedding weren't 5 star, but they did accomplish the goal of being a place to sleep. I also wish the shower had at least a single shelf, or bar to place soaps or any other shower accouterments.

Very Good
We had a three-bed room, which was very large, quite basic, but with a good bathroom/shower, and the beds were okay. Wifi worked alright and staff was helpful. I especially liked the common areas - a really nice living room with many sofas, there was free coffee all day and vending machines with snacks and toiletries, drinking water for filling up your bottles, and a nice small patio. It's not far to walk to the underground stations.
The noise, partly from the airplanes, but especially from the truck station across the street also during the night, at least in our room. Since the air conditioning machine was built inside the window, it was sort of open all the time and no noise barrier. Some of the surroundings may seem a bit spooky at nighttime.

The perfect option for a budget stay in Brooklyn. Great location and close to the subway. Nice common areas too, with a living room with sofas, books, and entertainment. I am thankful that it was possible to leave my suitcases in the luggage room before and after check-in.
