Noticed a question about lighting, so I thought I'd mention my experience. The room [111] I was in had 6 beds, and a private bathroom for the room. The room had a large skylight, which let in a lot of light and emitted a low light even at night from the flare of the city. There were lamps beside each bed but it seemed like people preferred to charge their phone than use the lamp. There was not an abundance of outlets in the room. I just had the idea that a power strip would be a smart thing to pack!

Location was fantastic. Staff super friendly. My room was super clean, comfortable and nice, I loved the beds.
Honestly there was nothing that I 'didn't like'. the property exceeded my expectations.

Vibrant graffiti, exceptional amenities (coffee/tea lounge, pool table, computer lab), and amazing housing fee make NY Moore Hostel my go-to lodging. Easy checkin and clean rooms. Bring your own shampoo and soap. The location is walkable to attractions like the Gecko Gallery and the Bone Museum plus the L subway! There are a couple delis and convenience stores.
The keyboard isn't plugged in so you can't play it. The first room (on the 2nd floor I think) I ever got had a janky lock so luckily a roommate was there to unlock the door.
