Disappointing
There are two vents in the room. One is controlled by a thermostat in the room. The other one just blew warm air 24/7 and couldn't be turned off. We had to run A/C the whole time to balance it out. The noise and vibrations from the heat pump in our room was augmented by noise and vibrations coming from the heat pumps out in the hallway of the building, I believe, and were pretty unpleasant when trying to sleep. The windows also don't open at all.

The hotel is accessible to the subway.
The room next door was horribly loud. The elevator took forever. The hotel also tried to charge me $100 for no reason.

The run is bare bones. I didn't like that there wasn't even a chair to sit on. The beds were not comfortable. To soft. I also didn't like all of the Halloween decorations in the lobby and lounge. They were scary for my daughter. She literally didn't want to go into the lobby.

It was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in and definitely not 3 star and definitely not suitable for long stays.

Cute aesthetic and decor, authentic energy, comfortable beds and well sized rooms.

For an NYC hotel, this is a great option! Yes, the area can feel a little sketchy at night—but honestly, that’s true for much of New York City (trust me, I’m a New Yorker). I stayed here while visiting family and found it to be a great value for the price. No complaints! There are plenty of food options within walking distance, and it’s close to the J and Z train station, which takes you directly to Lower Manhattan and Chinatown in about 20 minutes.
