Pleasant
The price was right. A supermarket very close by
It's a cheap hotel in Brooklyn. As long as you don't set your hopes high, you won't get surprised or disappointed. The room is very basic, not too clean and not well maintained. The hotel itself is in a Hasidic Jewish neighborhood, so the local vibe is practically non existent. There's nothing to do around, except for the local supermarket. The nearest subway is about ½ a mile away.

BED BUGS! Woke up covered in bug bites. I usually travel with my own sheets but didn’t think to pack them. Big mistake

The beds were comfortable, the shower was excellent, and the tv was massive! The staff were very friendly and helpful.
It was a little far from the trains.

A big king size comfortable bed and equally large television with a large range of channels to choose from. All the utilities and facilities were there and worked well ie microwave, fridge, shower, iron and air conditioning. Cleaners were very helpful and pleasant. Local shops and bars when you've got your bearings of the area.
The walls were a bit thin as I could hear the people in the next room. Apart from that all good.

Totally neglected. Kitchenette with no china, glass ware or cutlery, paper options. Kitchen tap was not attached to the bench, toilet cistern was not attached to the wall. Curtains falling down from the railing. Hairdryer didn't work and a replacement had a european plug, which of course did not work. Phone in room did not work. Balcony had uneven paving which was dangerous and weeds growing. Safety latch on the door was hanging loose by a screw.

Staff were friendly.
Housekeeping was below average. The sheets weren't changed in the 9 days we were there and we had to ask on more than one occasion if the beds could be made. The air conditioner was noisy and sandwiched between the bed and the wall, with curtains hanging over the top. Definitely a fire hazard. There was a kitchenette and microwave with no cutlery, cups, bowls or plates. We had to buy our own to be able to use the kitchen. The phone in the room did not work and informed them the twice. It was repaired a few days later. The screws on the security lock on the door were hanging out and could not be used. The key cards had to be recoding several times. The toilet wasn't attached to the floor and moved from side to side.
