I had my reservation made and confirmed through Booking.com and via message. The reservation was to be paid at the hotel, but upon arrival, they told me they had canceled my reservation without any justifiable reason and without notification, even though it still appeared confirmed on Booking.com.
There was no manager available to resolve the issue, and although they eventually found a room, after a long wait, they charged us much more than my nightly reservation price on booking. The room was poorly cleaned and smelled bad. This hotel was a horrible experience all together

Outstanding for a 2-star hotel. Superb location if you need to visit that area of New York. Beautiful scenery (for Brooklyn) next to a canal and lots of excellent dining options. Flawless service, with (almost) every staff member going above and beyond.
Fridge broke 2 days after we checked in, but staff let us use theirs. Not ideal, but the speed and professionalism with which they handled it in the middle of the night was more than enough to make up for it.
