Easy access to the by subway.
Paper thin walls and floors—the people above us sounded like elephants stomping around and the the people next to our room were yelling late at night ( for 2 hours) and early in the morning

Only stayed at this location to go to the brooklyn hangar concert venue which was easy to get to, took the train and a bus from grand central which was also easy to get to the hotel
We booked a room with a queen bed and checked in at 5 pm and were given a room with 2 twin beds. We asked to be switched to the room we booked and were told its first come first serve and checked in too late to get a queen bed. The elevators were out of order the hallways had an awful smell, and our carpet was filthy and not vacuumed. We were out of bathroom supplies when and asked to refill they never came to replenish. Shower doors were broken too.

The outside looked OK. That’s about it.
When I first walked in, it looked ghetto. I checked in and the person at the front desk said that the elevator didn’t work. So you went from maybe a two or three star to a one star right then. The place looks totally rundown. The stopper in the sink didn’t work so when I used the water, it would fill up and take a long time to drain. The plumbing was loose on the bathroom sink. It smelled a little like urine in the bathroom. It was just not a good experience at all. I was staying there for an educational workshop and I felt sorry for the other people in my group that I had to stay there. Fortunately, I did not have to stay for any more than one night. I went to get coffee in the morning and it looked like sludge when it came out of the coffee machine. I didn’t even drink it. The only thing that I can say good about it was there was cereal and orange juice, and I felt comfortable eating that.

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The room was tidy, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. Everything met my expectations, and I enjoyed my stay.
Unfortunately, the TV was not working during our stay, which caused some inconvenience.

The location was necessary
The hotel was unclean. Starting with the glass doors which were filthy. The floors needed vacuuming. The elevator was very dirty. In the room while we rented double beds, there was very little room for 3 people to comfortably move around. The phone did not work. The room itself had a displeasing smell as did the sheets. The bathroom towels were old and frayed. I can go on

This place unfortunately has becoming worse and worse lately, not getting the courtesy I used to get , front desk they just not welcoming guests the way shd be ,
The most despicable thing happened when someone with no manners at all knocking at my room door 4 min before 11 asking “r u leaving now “ ???????

Spacious room.
Dirty furniture. You really didn’t want to sit on any of the cloth furniture both in the room and in the common areas. Hallway, elevator, all the common areas were dirty. Debris and spills stayed on the floor for our entire stay.

Liked that connection to a subway station was just 4 feet across from the hotel. They had breakfast. The rooms were spacious.

Hotel was in a pretty good location. The price was somewhat better compared to the other options around. Big TV and comfy bed, reasonably friendly staff. Overall it was alright. Rooms were clean, bedding was clean, etc so I can't complain too much.
The building itself is pretty old, and certain things need some improvements. The lobby looked good, but the elevator looked more like a freight elevator, with ripped carpet and scuff marks. The hallways appeared to be renovated which was okay, but the rooms themselves felt a bit dated. The flooring in my room felt uneven (probably due to the age of the building) and I had no shower gel in the bathroom (but it didn't bother me that much since I had my own travel toiletries). The place could use some new management.

The room was fine as well as the shower. I was especially impressed with the heater which functioned properly
I am from the Buffalo area - paying approx. 500 dollars for two nights is ridiculous but we had no other choice. I realize it's the holidays and it's New York City but I'm 75 years old on a pension - very very high. You will tell me that's the going rate for NYC and that still doesn't make it easier to pay. I had to go to a hotel since my daughter in law had covid. I had planned on staying with her but obviously I could not. Budgeting an extra $500 put a damper on my stay.

Very poor cleaning, even though I asked both front desk and housekeeper to clean the room many times during my stay of 5 nights, no cleaning was never done! Very bad experience I do not recommend it to anybody.
Tiny rooms, I booked a room for 3 persons, yet they give me a very tiny room with 2 beds, the room can not even accommodate a 3rd bed.

The breakfast was ok. The customer service was great, friendly staff, excellent location, and the room was clean.
Only thing that we found troubling at first was the parking. However, there was a nearby garage that came in clutch for $29 per day.
