Buyer beware! I booked a room on Booking.com for this hotel August 8th for the date of September 5th. When I flew in and went to check in they said they had no room for me! That's it! No reason, follow up or help to find another property (which were booked for miles on Labor Day weekend! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! Also, there are TWO Hampton Inn shuttles that go to the same place at EWR and the wrong one picked me up and took me to Elizabeth property instead of Newark and there were no options other than to pay for an uber to get over to the other.

Room was nice and the breakfast was good
You had to pay 22$ to park on lot which was not described. The staff was like robots not friendly. Charged me a security deposit of 100 after I already paid in full. At checkout I Overheard another couple would have to pay 75 per room if they checked early, and after deciding they wanted to book jusy one early front desk continued to say okay thay comes to 90$. Overpriced and money hungry

Staff was friendly. Room was large, clean and comfortable. This was just a quick overnight stay on our way into the city for a baseball game but it was perfect accommodations. The included breakfast was great! Hot and cold options, tasty selections. They had a variety of food available in the store in the hotel lobby for other quick meals/snacking.
The turn into the parking lot was little difficult to find/see in the dark. Perhaps better singage/lighting would help?

Would be better if the shutlle took you right to the terminal and not just to the airtrain for the terminals.
Morning desk gentleman (6 am) was not welcoming, did not look up, no smile. not helpful.

Location to airport was good. If you are looking for a view you won’t get it here..
Odd smell throughout the building. As soon as you walk in there is a heavy scented smell that made me think - what are they covering up. Smell in the hallway was odd as well. Same in our room. Can’t put my finger on it but it was not a good smell. I ended up using my sweet pea body spray to spray down the room.

Lobby had available coffee, hot water throughout the day. Breakfast had a good variety. The room was spacious and comfortable.
The air conditioning unit was a bit difficult to work.
