The Suite was excellent - very spacious with a lovely view. The food from room service was also excellent.
I chose this Hotel because we could get a "river view" at a reasonable rate. I booked the Deluxe Double. However it was a side or partial river view and therefore I feel that the description of "river view" is inaccurate or misleading. You had to stand in the corner of the window and look far to the left to see the river. I upgraded to the suite to get what I consider to be a river view. When I selected the room the first thing that came up was a picture of the beautiful pool. This was another reason for booking the hotel, as I wanted to be able to use the hotel pool. The pool was not available for use, which was very disappointing. There were two beautiful large TV screens in the Suite but although it had advertised "pay per view channels" we were told that it was not working. So we watched the movies on our laptop. I find the picture of the Hotel exterior misleading. The Hotel is not directly on the waterfront.

Buffet breakfast was terrible. A la carte was better. Swimming pool was closed, I had to ask if arrangements had been made with other chain hotels or Gyms for guests to swim. At first nothing was arranged. Miraculously on day 3 a Health Center was made available.

Magnificient view on Manhattan, very neat and clean room.
Not much. Only transport to NYC from Newport - though quite good theoretically - proved a little difficult as PATH connections underwent renovations during our stay, resulting in few, slow and overcrowded trains.

I stayed in the King Room with the corner view. Amazing bathroom with huge bathtub, lovely views, big bed felt very very clean. Staff was quick and professional. Place was very quiet, Location was near this cute mall. Felt very much as home. Felt very fancy.
Bathroom hardware was kind of falling apart, not all windows could be opened. AC unit was very noisy. Breakfast selection was pretty limited. Bed was too soft? No slippers or bathrobe but that's not a big deal.
