Location was great, private but close to restaurants and stores. Breakfast was nice, my husband hoped for a protein, but settled for the scrambled eggs. View of river, and the local wildlife visitors were enjoyable to watch.
The rooms are a little dated. The tub was a little dingy looking and VERY slippery. Blinds were broken and hard to open evenly. Our door was broken but they provided a security bar. The portable heater was noisy...

I came to WF for work. I am a Nurse and worked at Mt. View Health and Rehab. I found the Inn far more beautiful than I expected and it could not have been more convenient to the Nursing Home. The bed was very comfortable and I really liked having a balcony off the bedroom.
I was disappointed in the cleanliness of some things in the main room such as the table was dirty and had food stuck on it. I also wished there was some way to make a fresh cup of coffee at any given time instead of having to wait until the kitchen opened. I worked 0500-1900 and fresh coffee was not available. I often work night shifts, so I drink coffee when most people don't. ;-) It also would be nice to have a bit of a larger refrigerator, especially one with a freezer compartment.

Beautiful, quiet spot beside the river, and loved seeing the deer wandering around. The Inn itself is quaint, comfortable, clean, cozy, and affordable. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the homemade breakfast was delicious.

The
Duck Inn Lodge was a comfortable place to stay. It was clean and then owners welcoming.
The refrigerator in the room did not work. Since we had been hiking and taking snacks, I had to toss my my refrigerator items away. The air conditioner was not working well. Probably need the filter change. We came in late and left early so I did not get to mention this to them.

I have 4 kids and the vibe of the whole place was welcoming and warm. They had fish and turtle aquariums in the lobby, lots of board games and activities to keep the kids occupied during transition times. The lobby was an extension of our room with great staff and other visitors to converse with. The rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Less than a 5 minute drive to downtown.

I loved how self-sufficient everything was. There is literally a hall closet filled with extra things guests might need that you can access yourself. I liked how homey and comfortable it felt. Lots of caring touches throughout the Lodge.
The beds were a bit uncomfortable, but I just slept on top of the covers with the blanket I brought from home, and it was great!

Location was excellent both with nearness to town and adjacent to river with views. Saw lots of deer from the deck. Shared living area nice. Room was clean.
Staff was unfriendly. Appears to be under new management/ownership. Wonder if current rating is more reflective of past performance? They would not honor the checkin time listed on booking, when asked, manager said "i should fix that" - no apology or remedy or even offer to sit in common area. TV worked poorly. Breakfast was 3 hour old waffles, and a few other things. Out of coffee. Staff sitting in kitchen on computer, attempted to speak to them, was ignored.

First, someone tried to open our door while we were still inside without knocking. We answered and said we’re still there. He did stop. We were about to leave (11:02am) and opened our door, he was still there and still trying to open our door. We told the front desk staff, they told us “it’s checkout time, and they (of course) were trying to open the door and clean the room”. He was dismissive and got annoyed by our question. He was rude.
Second, the front desk staff were not friendly when we had breakfast: when we asked whether they have scrambled eggs, decaf coffee or not.(it wasn’t there, but on the buffet list) Yes, they did make for us, but it feels like we were begging for eggs and coffee. He seems grumpy.
Third, our room was directly under the lobby. It was loud - hearing people walking back and forth early morning.

Lovely property in good location. Very comfortable room.
That the cost increased significantly on the weekend. Had trouble entering the building, along with other couples, using the information sent to us. I called for assistance and someone was sent to open door for us. They said the access system was being worked on.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable especially after sleeping in a van for the past 5 nights. Breakfast was offered too which was a nice treat on our trip.
The staff never came out to welcome folks at breakfast and I feel that was a missed opportunity for us to offer thanks for our stay.
