Disappointing
Location was excellent both with nearness to town and adjacent to river with views. Saw lots of deer from the deck. Shared living area nice. Room was clean.
Staff was unfriendly. Appears to be under new management/ownership. Wonder if current rating is more reflective of past performance? They would not honor the checkin time listed on booking, when asked, manager said "i should fix that" - no apology or remedy or even offer to sit in common area. TV worked poorly. Breakfast was 3 hour old waffles, and a few other things. Out of coffee. Staff sitting in kitchen on computer, attempted to speak to them, was ignored.

Poor
First, someone tried to open our door while we were still inside without knocking. We answered and said we’re still there. He did stop. We were about to leave (11:02am) and opened our door, he was still there and still trying to open our door. We told the front desk staff, they told us “it’s checkout time, and they (of course) were trying to open the door and clean the room”. He was dismissive and got annoyed by our question. He was rude.
Second, the front desk staff were not friendly when we had breakfast: when we asked whether they have scrambled eggs, decaf coffee or not.(it wasn’t there, but on the buffet list) Yes, they did make for us, but it feels like we were begging for eggs and coffee. He seems grumpy.
Third, our room was directly under the lobby. It was loud - hearing people walking back and forth early morning.

Lovely property in good location. Very comfortable room.
That the cost increased significantly on the weekend. Had trouble entering the building, along with other couples, using the information sent to us. I called for assistance and someone was sent to open door for us. They said the access system was being worked on.

It was quaint and easy to access.
The mini fridge was not cool, the ice tray was stuck, and we could not access Netflix on the TV. Breakfast was ok but not great.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable especially after sleeping in a van for the past 5 nights. Breakfast was offered too which was a nice treat on our trip.
The staff never came out to welcome folks at breakfast and I feel that was a missed opportunity for us to offer thanks for our stay.

Disappointing
the room was nice with a balcony. the location was good, close to downtown.
there is NOT staff on site. therefore when you do have an issue it can not be handled. We did not have a remote for the TV and we could not operate the tv manually. we tested the owner and they were not able to resolve the issue because they do not have staff available.

RANDALL --- The STAFF ARE THE BEST. Internet OK, not great. "breakfast," "room," and "bed" were OK BECAUSE OF STAFF'S extra attention. GIVE THE STAFF WHAT THEY NEED TO SEE TO THE GUEST'S NEEDS AND YOU WOULD HAVE A FIRST CLASS FACILITY. Beautiful property right on the river. Great location, no bugs to speak of, wild deer and fowl. We are straight but the LGBTQ community with money will love you. You are not "Penny wise, pound foolish" by skimping on your staff you are "Penny Dumb & Pound Stupid." If you cannot understand my colloquialisms talk to your parents. If your parents are dead you'd better hire someone over 60 to run your place. YOU HAVE A GOLD MINE.

Location and the beautiful monsteras in the lounge area
We saw some deers from our balcony!
The shower was great
They do not have a front desk, everything must be through your phone (check in, requests, questions)
They do not clean your room unless you ask for it, and then again, it must be through text, and even so, they forgot to clean up our room when requested
The bed and pillows were too soft/used
We honestly chose this place because of the great reviews about breakfast, and it was very disappointing that from the 5 nights we stayed, we only got waffles and parfaits… ?!!!
Utensils, coffee mugs and so were dirty, you can tell because some of them had stuck food on it, disgusting. They didn’t have any disposables either.
Bathroom sink was dirty as well… it was clogged.

Good size room with nice view of river. Furnishings a bit dated but that provides its own charm.
Very little not to like. I suppose my only recalled concern was 'size' of breakfast......a little on the light side.
