I loved the history. Learn more via the ghost tour on Fridays and Saturdays.
The atmosphere in the lobby is very nice.
Rooms are simple but clean.
I wish the rooftop area was open other days besides Fri- Sun. Even without the bar, it would be a nice place for guests to hang out.
I’m not sure Baltimore gets better, but the streets around the hotel can be sketchy. Though on weekends it feels better with tourists walking around, the arena is nearby.
The hotel is by no means perfect. I loved the character, but some will complain about cracks and chips in their room.

Great location, nice size rooms, beautiful lobby, good deal for price paid, they allowed us to have early check in.
Safety vault didn't work, no instructions to use TV, no stopper in sink, housekeeping was confusing to try to figure out. No one cleaned the room during our stay.

I love how check in was smooth, quick and easy. I also like how I felt secure with someone always around as well as using a key for access to the common restroom as well as going up the elevator.
