Good location a few minutes walk form the seafront. Convenient for the metro and light rail. Lovely old building but a little faded. Room was clean and plenty of space.
It's a no=smoking hotel but the corridors on my floor smelt heavily like someone was smoking weed! Couldn't smell it in the room though.

This is a historic site. Hotel is beautiful like stepping into the 1920’s with that said maintenance is super important it’s harder to play upkeep. Management needs to keep that in mind some suggestions acrylic panels that imitate tile in shower, tile in a building like this is very difficult. Replace rug with a brighter color.
Maintenance. Dark rooms are fine but a little to dark brighten the rugs.
My tv never worked no one followed up with after 2 calls 8 hrs apart

We were unable to stay.
This review is for both Booking.com and the hotel itself. I booked this stay because it was the cheapest rate In Baltimore for a decent 3 star hotel for a night for my husband, brother-in-law and I to stay after the Orioles game. Originally, I made the reservation for a King room for my husband and I a little over a month ago, we then decided to bring my brother-in-law, so we just changed our reservation to two queen beds, this was still over a month ago, I received confirmation for that and didn’t receive any other notice. We get there the day of the game, yesterday evening, about 30 minutes after the 4pm check in time and was told by the hotel that our booking had been cancelled twice, however we never got notice of this, so we didn’t end up having a room at all and they were fully booked, actually overbooked, because there were many other customers in there having the same issue. The lady at the desk said it was Bookings fault for us, however I also received a message from the hotel a hour before our arrival about our stay and to check in early for contactless check in if wanted. We ended up booking with another hotel directly outside of Baltimore. I’ve never had an issue with booking.com when making travel plans, so I am hoping it was a fluke situation of overbooking due to the game but imagine being a big family, traveling hours and being told “sorry we don’t have any room for you” and not being told until that very minute.
